Family Friday

Benny: Purrs everyone. Benny the Black here! It looks like we've reached the end of another week. The temps have started to rise, as forecast, but something weird is going on. It's 30°C (86F) during the day and 10°C (50F) at night!

Several people have gotten in touch and asked us if we were anywhere near those awful fires that are all over television. We are not. They are way to the south of us, about 750km (470 miles) away. But thank you for caring!

So, this week, we are celebrating Family Friday. On the kitty side, as you know, we are three boys, and #1 managed to snag a pic of all three of us the other day:

As you know, Momo and Ryū hang together a lot. Here they are on #1's bed:

And in the living room:

As you can see, Ryū quite likes napping with Ollie too!

In this next one, I was busy helping #1 wrap a gift:

Ever since her birthday, our Queen Tama has been coming back into the kitchen where she hadn't wandered in a while, and rediscovering some of her favourite haunts:

As for Ollie, he has been enjoying his off-leash interludes on some of his morning walks:

  1. I am glad those fires are well away from you, but sorry for all those affected by them. Lovely photos of all you boys, and I am glad to see Queen Tama coming back to some of her favourite places.

  5. Those fires sound extremely disastrous and we are glad to hear you're nowhere near. It is good to see that you're having a great time all together at home again. Have a wonderful weekend. And that is a roller coaster weather temperature that you're experiencing. I'm still grateful that we've had almost one week of very cool mornings and the humidity is much less than the afternoon.

  7. Those are nice cool temps for sleeping. We're heading into a heat wave for this weekend. You all sure look happy hanging out together.

  8. Java Bean: "Ayyy, you guys have fires too?! Ugh! What a year it has been! We are in the thick of it with fires here and it is not even fire season yet."
Lulu: "Mama and Dada have been keeping a watchful eye on the Watch Duty app, that's for sure."
Charlee: "We're glad the fires are far away so you can have your family meeting in peace."

  9. Good to see all the kitties and Ollie enjoying summer. We have had a few cooler days, but the humid heat is starting again - 93 degrees today. My cats are lazy, too. My own cat had his annual this week - he will be 17 years old in September. Good checkup, though his blood work indicated kidney disease could be starting. Linda
