#1 here. Today is a very, very special day at Poupounette Central as we celebrate Queen Tama's 17th Birthday. When we got the diagnosis of a liver tumour for her in September 2024, we were not sure she would be with us for Christmas, and we never dreamed we would be celebrating another birthday together. Each and every day has been a gift, extra time to cherish her and make sure that her every moment with us is filled with all the things she loves.
It' hard enough to write a birthday post for a 5 year old cat, but 17 years means so, so many photos and such difficult choices to make. Looking over the previous couple of years' posts, it seems that the photos have often been the same. So, I have made a concerted effort this year to use different photos. I also tried to limit myself to one or two photos per year, but did not always succeed. Please sit back comfortably and fasten your seatbelts for a ride through the past 17 years!
This is one of the first photos I saw of her. She was five weeks old and had already decided she would be queen!
Dear Tama. We have known you since your were a lil baby and now you’re all of 17. You’re a beautiful Queen and long may you reign. Stay safe and be well. From Just 3 cats and san.
