Ollie: The weather has been pretty nice so far this week, with no rain, and temps maxing out at around 25°C (77°F). So, #1 and I have been enjoying our weeks. Yesterday morning, she decided to try letting me loose whilst in the big field some distance from the house. There were no other people or dogs around, so she thought it would be safe.
I was a pretty good boy...
... as we started heading home, I took off like a rocket. She called me but to no avail. She could either see me or hear me most of the time so she wasn't overly worried, and I did come back as she reached the end of the field and beginning of the road (she is SLOW!).
It was fun! I hope we do it again!
you were a good boy and you came back.. well done dear ollie pup...
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like fun, Ollie, and we're so happy that the weather isn't too hot for you or for #1!
ReplyDeleteGood to read and see your field adventures!
ReplyDeleteToday is International Friendship day and we are so furry glad to have met you 1/2 way around the world. Have lotsa fun Ollie.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Woofie Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteKhousin Emmy likes to taunt her #1 like that too -
ReplyDeleteWe are SUPPOSED to see temps like that after tomorrow - but first enough day of 94 - my #1 has already switched on the pedestal fan to team with the A/C -
Once upon a time, I may have been in the NAT category of throw the ball - but I'm not much into toys - but I do love a good KhrossTrek RIDE!
Happy Woofie Wednesday!

We're still having hot weather here, but supposed to cool down some in a few days. You shouldn't scare #1 by not coming when she calls or you will never get off leash again, Ollie.
ReplyDeleteOh Ollie, c'mon...you know that you are supposed to listen to #1 faithfully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good time you had, Ollie!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun out n' about handsome Ollie!
ReplyDeleteI can't answer that because I am preparing the leave here, which is on the ninth rung of Hell and moving tom your house to be comfortable
ReplyDeleteA good run to get the blood flowing must be a fun thing for a dog, although I don't get it (I always say if there is a reason for everyone to run for their lives, I'll stay behind as bait because running isn't going to happen).
ReplyDeleteWe aren't into balls either...not really into fetch games either, yes, we know we are weird!
ReplyDeleteBut how fun to have a good run! But you were a good boy and didn't run away.
