Momo's Manly Monday

Momo-Chan: Fluffy Puffy hellos to all of you, Friends! Is it hot where you are? It's been really hot here!

Last Friday, #1 bundled me and Ryū-Chan into carriers and put us in the car. As soon as we started rolling, Ryū launched into the Aby Anthem and did not stop for the three quarters of an hour it takes us to get to Dr. C's. Phew! I occasionally tried to tell him to tone it down, but he wouldn't listen. And then... as soon as we got to Dr. C's and he was taken out of his carrier, he started purring and didn't stop the whole time we were there!

We both got thoroughly checked over, and were given our boosters, after which we got pedicures. We were both pronounced fit and healthy. Ryū weighs 3.5 kilo (7.7lbs)  and I weigh 6.0 kilos (13.2 kilos)! Dr. C said that my brother, Tokyo, had been in the previous week and he weighs 6.5 kilos! Neither of us had any adverse reaction to the vaccines.

Benny said he had been a little anxious when we both disappeared, and he was pretty happy to see us back!

Ollie's walks have been curtailed as it has been so hot, but the temps should start cooling off this week.

We wish you all a good week!

  6. A very good vet report! Yay! - And it's not "too" hot where I live ... maybe 75 degrees. No melting here today.

  7. Sympathies for hot weather. We have it, too!
Ryu is one of the travel-talker cats. I have fostered cats for a long time, and found they are fairly common. My own cats, too! So many of my own cats have crossed the rainbow bridge. I only have one cat now.
It is good they are both so healthy, #1! Vet bills are very high, compared to just a few years ago. Since my dear doggie is an escape artist and challenges dogs much larger than her, I have invested in insurance for her. I have a savings account for pets annuals, and keep my kitty home. He is 16 years old now.

  8. It's good to hear you both got a good review from the vet. We're under a heat advisory as the "feels like" temps will be over 100 deg F (about 38 deg C) for the next two days! I'm thankful for the AC running 24/7 for a few days since it's still muggy and in the upper 70's (about 24 deg C) at night.

PeeEssWoo: Hi Ollie - my #1 doesn't think I know but Friday's list includes a trip to The Vet for me - which means I start getting 'stuff' Thursday evening to make me 'touchable' - I'll go trotting in BUT as soon as anyone tries to do anything....NOPE NON NYET NADA!!!!

  10. Oh noes, Momo-Chan and Ryū-Chan!
Such indignities, but it's good that you are well and had a sort of spa day.
    It's blazing hot here too.
