Ryū-Chan on Wednesday

 

Ryū-Chan: Mee-YOW to all my fans! It's Little Dragon here. It's true that I have become something of a specialist in the subject of trouble-making! But I also have a gentle and helpful side, and I helped #1 when she was getting the guest room ready yesterday!

We have guests arriving from South Africa tomorrow. They are only staying with us for one night, but #1 says it takes the same amount of tidying, cleaning, bed-making etc. for one day as for one month!

By the way, the cover on the bed if the official bed cover for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was only given to athletes and officials who stayed at the Olympic Village, which is why #1 has one!

Anymeow, the next few days are going to be a bit crazy for #1, and she will actually be away for all of Saturday and part of Sunday, so this is going to be our last post until next Monday. Don't forget about us!!!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

 

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends, and Welcome. #1 tells me that November, whatever that is, is almost over, and that it will soon be December, and then Christmas. I do love all the decorations!  I am continuing to enjoy my meals. #1 spends so much time looking for the yummiest combination of low-fat foods to please my palate, so I thought I would start with a photo of what my full food bowl looks like.

#1 bought me this bowl recently when a local garden centre had a closing down sale. As you can see, she puts lots of different bits and pieces there, including Applaws chicken mousse, and Churu Pops, as well as Ciao chicken and scallop stew.

So, I don't really have any news. I continue to be pestered by two of the youngsters although Benny has definitely handed over his mantle as The Thug to Ryū who is totally wild. The only one I rather like is that little fluff puff who is gentle as can be.

We have had very little in the way of sunpuddles of late, but #1 had her camera handy when a ray caught me in my carrier a few days ago:

It's the perfect place from which to enjoy the world, keep #1 company when she's watching TV, and have my numerous naps!

I think we told you that our nice neighbours are away and #1 is looking after their kitty, Shana. I thought I'd share a photo of her as she is very pretty!

Momo's Manly Monday

Momo-chan: It's my day of the week as your host of our Manly Monday post!  We're writing this post early as our connection seems to be going in and out, and we want to make sure it's ready.

Somehow, #1 seems to take lots of pics of me! I do love the window hammock, and would you look at that dangle!

It's the perfect place for a good wash.

Although I do occasionally get disturbed...

And sometimes Ryū-Chan succeeds in displacing me!

I think Benny has gone into hibernation mode!

Ollie enjoyed the snow, even though he was a bit surprised at first!

Snuggles on Sunday

 

Tama-Chan: It's Sunday! We're a bit later than usual in posting but better late than never, right? Our nice neighbours have gone to Morocco for a week and #1 has to look after their pretty girl cat, Shana, so that made her morning even slower than usual. We have our connection back, however, and #1 is looking into switching to optic fiber.

I must apologise for the slight blurriness of my snuggle pic with #1. I rub my head into hers almost non-stop and that's why!

Actually, we're a bit short on pics this week, so let me see what I can find for you.

#1 and Ollie took this selfie when they were at the vet's last week. Not the best setting, but we think it's a nice selfie!

Violette and Vidock Vendredi

 

Violette: We are very late in posting today. Our apologies! #1 has had no Internet and only intermittently vague phone service for the last 24 hours. We had, by our standards, a big snowstorm yesterday and everything comm related went out. Mercifully, the electricity stayed on. In the end, she went to her neighbours as they have a fibre connection, and so she could post this. But we suspect that tomorrow will be difficult.

Anyneigh, Ms. C sent #1 several pics of me in the snow! 

Ms. A also sent #1 some pics of The Big V in the snow. Actually, not in the snow because his highness has a large box and is in the warm and dry. Look at him!

We even got a video of him busily munching on his hay!

Sadly, we do not have any pics of Miss Heloise. Hopefully, we'll have some for next week.

Thankful Thursday

 

Ryū-Chan: The weather is pretty nasty today, and we are thankful to be indoor cats with a lovely warm home and lots of great places to play and nap.

For some reason, #1 left a rolled up tarpaulin on the floor in the living room. I just had to explore it!

After which I had a nice nap with my big bro, Momo:

By the way, Momo also tried out the tarpaulin!

Benny decided he would assist #1 in Ollie's daily "spa treatment" by siting on him!

Woofie Wednesday

 

Ollie: In a comment on yesterday's post, my friend Willow asked me if my "spa treatments" from #1 were going on, and the answer is yes! I am feeling a lot better.

On Monday, I showed you a photo of me taken on one of our weekend walks. Today, I have several more that were taken yesterday morning. We just about managed to get in our walk before the heavens opened and it rained a lot most of the day after that!

That's our gate. We're almost home!

We are supposed to get some sun today, so paws crossed!!!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

 

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome back to my day. As you can imagine, the focus of attention shifted a bit over the weekend to poor Ollie. I'm glad he got to see Dr. C yesterday morning and she sorted him out. 

I think I have mentioned in the past that I like to sit in my carrier. You see, no errant kittens can jump on me unannounced when I'm in there!

Here I am, helping #1 with a Facebook post:

I tell you, it's hard helping #1 with all her various tasks. She is a busy lady! And I don't think that any of those boys would be up to it.

That definitely warrants a nap or three!

Momo's Manly Monday

 

Momo: Hello everyone and welcome to the manly post I host every week. This time, I would like to start by asking for some purrs and woofs for my woofie bro, Ollie. He has been having some, ahem, output issues and will probably be visiting Dr. C today. We hope she can take care of the problem easily. Isn't it odd how these problems almost always manifest themselves at the weekend?

Anyway, he did go for a lovely walk with #1 on Saturday, the one day we actually had some sun!

Ollie Update: We're back from the vet. Ollie had a badly inflamed derrière, not helped by all the curly hair. So, he got a shave, soothing salves applied, and antibiotics. He should be fine within a day or two. Thanks for caring about him!

Snuggles on Sunday

 

Tama-Chan: It's Sunday again, and time to post of this week's best snuggle pics! It has been very dark all week, with really grey skies and few sunpuddles, except for yesterday, so #1 did not take as many photos as usual, but we will do our best. Stills on Saturday

 

#1 here. Yesterday was a very busy day for me, with yet another horse on its way to England, and I ran out of energy to put together a proper blog post. So here instead are some stills taken during the day.

First the filly, Mignonne, loading onto the luxury horse transport:

Next is the farm dog, Lux. He is a St. Bernard and very old, but he is still very handsome!

And next is a strange sight I beheld on my way back home. A gaggle of geese guarding the main intersection of a small village. Actually, this is not that uncommon in France. They do a great job of slowing traffic!
