Today's post is an unusual one. Friends of #1's in Germany have a barn cat who had serious complications while having kittens a few days ago. The mother cat is at the vet's where she had surgery and is now in recovery. In the interim, the friends' older dog, Sissi, has adopted the kittens and is taking care of them . They are also being fed by hand every couple of hours. Here are a couple of photos and a sweet video. Sadly one of the kittens did not make it. These photos and video were taken before he ran off to the Bridge.
al the good luck to the little ones...
ReplyDeleteI hope the cat recovers well. The dog is doing a very good job looking after the kittens.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful life lesson to humans...be kind and look out for each other, regardless of any differences.
ReplyDeleteA purrfect example of the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" only in this case a dog :)
ReplyDeletePurrs the Mama and the remaining kittens will do well.

ReplyDeleteThe pup clearly knows what to do with babies! And the humans as well. Hope mother is back with her kittens soon and that the others survive this difficult start.
ReplyDeletePoor wee one; didn't get a chance.
ReplyDeleteLove know no bounds or species. Purrs to the little one who didn't make it.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of the pup to adopt the kittens and help care for them. We have our paws crossed that the mom and her remaining kittens continue to do well.
