Ollie: When she's talking with her friends here and there on the phone, #1 keeps going on about "strange times" and not knowing where we're going, but I have to tell you... I love it that she's always here, and we still get to go on some fun adventures together!
On Monday, after it had rained all weekend, the sun came out. The forecast was for more rain from Tuesday, so #1 said this was the perfect time to go on an adventure to her favourite autumn colour site. It may still be a little early, but worth a try. So, we got in the car, and drove 25 minutes to this lovely pond called "Etang de la Herse". Woofies were supposed to be on leads, plus she doesn't really trust me in an unfamiliar setting, so we took our extra-long lead with us.
It was beautiful!
There were so many great smells and places to explore!
We met this really cool guy called Chase. He wasn't on a lead, and really lived up to his name! His family was American, by the way!
oooh what a wonderful place... and even with such memories... we have a lot of signs now everywhere to keeps da dogs on da leash... we agree with that, the vets are still in emercency mode and better safe than sorry...

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place. My human wants to put it on her list of must-see areas for whenever she finally makes it over to France. (She has been planning this for like decades.)
ReplyDeleteAwww, we hope that beautiful place brought back many happy memories for #1. It sure is pretty there. Strange times here too.

The strange times will be around for a way too strangely long time we are afraid...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and peaceful spot to visit, and so many memories lingering there, too.
