Thankful Thursday

Ollie: Woof Woof! it's me again, friends! This is not the post we had planned to have today, but something happened that left me both sad and thankful, and I wanted to share it with you.

You all know my dear friend, Noelle. She is a year older than me and we have been friends from the time I was a small pup. Here is a pic of her checking me out when I was a little over 4 months old:

Just last week, the two of us had a great time together when we helped with Heloise's lesson:

And then, there was an awful accident. Noelle was in the wrong place when one of Ms. C's horses kicked out as she was romping around, catching her in the head. She had to be rushed to the emergency vet to have surgery, but she sadly lost her right eye. So, yesterday, when #1 went to see the horses, she could not take me with her. Noelle must absolutely not play bitey face until she is all healed. I really, really want to see her and bring her comfort, and tell her she is as pretty as she ever was, but I can't do that just yet, so #1 did it for me. The surgeon did a great job and Noelle is healing fast. Here is a pic that #1 took yesterday of her and Black:

So, I am thankful that my Noelle will be OK, and may I ask you to send some good healing vibes her way?

  1. we are so sorry that your friend Noelle lost her eye... but she is still there and she will be ok... many thanks to her vet. we had such an accident with the berger de beauce of our uncle once too, but we had more luck than somewhat, it needed surgery but everything was intact at his head... hugs to you and your friends...
