Tama-Chan:What a to-do we had, Dear Friends! My SoS post should in fact have been an SOS post! We had prepared the post before #1 left for the weekend, so could not share the calamity with you as it happened. Basically, the neighbours came to take Tommy out Saturday night, just before bedtime, and they could not get back in! Tommy slept over at Fernant's and stayed there until #1 got back Sunday evening. And we were left to fend for ourselves!!! There was some dry food put out so we did not starve, but it was terrible nonetheless! A locksmith came yesterday and totally dismantled the 3-point lock which needs to be replaced. Fortunately, we have a wooden shutter that closes over the front door and locks.
We were all exhausted from our ordeal and I spent yesterday recovering in a sunpuddle:
It is definitely getting colder, but over the last week, we did have a few days when we could still enjoy open window whiffies:
Of course, the second most fun thing is to just hang out with my Tommy:
Yikes! Left to yourselves!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bad time for the lock to fail.
Good thing you had crunchies or you would have starved!!!(mum thinks we are being too dramatic, but she does not understand how important food is to we cats )
Good to hear #1 has things fixed again :)

Wow, that was a calamity! I'm glad you guys didn't starve.
ReplyDeleteThank heavens you had extra dried food and didn't starve before #1 came home to the rescue.
ReplyDeleteI sure am glad y'all had those crunchies to help you pass the time.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that must've been so scary!! I'm glad that you survived on kibble while waiting. I'm sure #1 will do much to make up for this mishap.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct; we didn't get the true scope of the calamity! Starving kitties, hoomins in a quandary...glad it's all fixed now!
ReplyDeleteOh my, what an ordeal! Glad at least you had some food. I hope you have fully recovered in sunshine :-)
ReplyDeleteWe can only imagine how distraught #1 must have been. We are glad you all had some dry food to keep you going:) And now with all of #1's upcoming travel, it is a good thing this happened this weekend and not while she was in the U.S.
