Vidock: Handsome Neighs EveryFriend! I have a lot of catching up to do with regard to blog posts, don't I? And life is pretty exciting at the moment, so I have lots to tell you!
I have already mentioned what fun it is to be in a field with company, rather than all alone as had to be when I was a stud. On arrival here, I was put in a field with two other geldings, a mule and a donkey. I got on really well with everyone but then, the two geldings left. I was wondering what was going on when I saw the most enchanting sight:
Isn't she just the cutest filly you have ever seen? Do you recognise her? Yes! It's Heloise!!! She has come to Ms.C's for a month or two to learn good manners and do basic training. And she is the field with me, Sarko the mule and Samia the donkey!
#1 explained to me that this is because I am such a sweet boy and I take really good care of youngsters. Well, I blushed!
I love my pals!
On Wednesday, Mr. Farrier came to do my shoes and to make a first attempt to trim Miss Heloise's feet. It often takes a while for horses to learn how to lift their feet and stand properly for the farrier, so I gave Heloise a demonstration:
I am loving my new life!
