Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! I hope you don't mind getting two horsey posts in one week but, after The Big Vs' post on Wednesday, I felt that I needed one of my very own to show you what I have been doing lately!
The latest fun that #1 and I have been having together is called long-reining. This, as the name implies, is when a human leads a horse on foot, using some long reins. This is used typically in activities such as logging. #1 had always found long-reining to be super-difficult but it seems that her two days of driving in Hampshire last week helped her!
We started out on the quiet lane outside Ms. C's place:
And #1 got me turn around in a wide courtyard:
I was concentrating hard!
We then went into a small orchard:
And we slalomed around the trees!
One of Ms. C's dogs was encouraging me!
And right at the end, Ms. C took over and #1 was able to take some photos. She told me I looked even prettier than usual in this pic:
I am really enjoying all the stuff I am doing, and look forward to doing lots more.
Violette, we are delighted to see you so happy :)
