Genji's Seven Saturday!

Genji: Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! Gather round, my friends, and rejoice with me as I celebrate my 7th birthday today!

That, by the way, is my official 7th Birthday portrait. #1 took it yesterday when we had a few sunpuddles.

I shall delve into the archives and find some suitable shots to cover the last seven years. This pic here was taken before I moved to Poupounette Central, when I was a very small kit:

This one was at the airport when #1 came to collect me. As you can see, I took to her immeditely!

And this is me and the kickaroo on the day I came home!

Did somebody say Frootbat?

By my first birthday, I had grown into my ears and I was already a handsome mancat!

Here I am shortly before my second birthday:

We had late snow that year!

Coming up to my third birthday:

Sharing a bowl of whipped cream with Da Beebs on my 4th birthday:

A little after my 5th birthday:

I like this picture of me playing jungle cat:

And this one too!

Remember that kickaroo when I was a kitten? Here it is again when I was 5!

This sky hammock photo was taken shortly before my 6th birthday:

And just in case you are wondering, I still love my kickaroo!

Now since today is what was long known as SEIturday, I thought I should include this photo. You now how Sei-Chan always told you how annoying I was. Well... she could be pretty terrifying too!

We all miss her.

As you know, I have become famous for my glowbats:

I am very lucky to have a wonderful woofie brother in Tommy:

But, most of all, I love my #1 and spend as much time as I possibly can with her:

Dear friends, I am a lucky boy and I have a wonderful life!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SHINING PRINCE, GENJI from #1, Tommy, Tama-Chan, Da Beebs, Violette and Vidock!

PS: In case you don't know the background to my name, you can read all about it here.

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

Da Beebs: It has not been a great week for taking photos. We had a lot of grey skies and few sunpuddles. Plus #1 had some back pain and was hobbling about, looking crippled. Still, we have done our best to pull together some pics for you.

I managed to get a little glow into mine:

We have some sleepy bats from Da Genj:

Mama Tama also found a little sun:

Tommy is the one who did us proud! He managed a very rare and difficult rolling flying ear!

And a full one as well!

Don't forget to join us tomorrow to help Genji celebrate his big day!

Tommy Thursday - Tommy's Excellent Adventure, Part II

Tommy: Woofs, everyone! Thanks for all the nice comments about my Monday post. I have lots more fun pics to share with you today.

On Saturday, instead of heading east to Germany, we headed west to Belgium. It's pretty cool being able to go from country to country just like that! We went in Ms. L and Mr. P's car. #1 was riding in the back with me and I was very relaxed:

The first place we went to an old Cistercian abbey (Abbaye d'Orval) that was founded in the 11th century. They make beer and they make cheese! Sadly, woofies are not allowed inside, so Ms. L and I went up the path on the left for a walk whilst #1 and Mr. P visited:

#1 showed me some pics of what the ruins of the old abbey (burned down in the 18th century) looked like:

Afterwards, there was lunch at a restaurant run by the Abbey. It was nice enough to sit outside:

When we had finished lunch, we went to meet some friends of #1's, one who lives there and one who had come from the Moselle department of France with his Percheron horses! I had some time to relax and play:

And then it was all aboard!

We went for an almost two hour carriage drive through the local forests. It was very beautiful!

This pic was taken when we stopped for a few minutes:

#1 made sure I was tucked in tightly so I wouldn't fly out when we went sharpy uphill or downhill!

The next day, we returned to France. It was a long drive but we stopped on the motorway so I could play a a bit:

It really was a wonderful adventure, and I enjoyed every moment!

Wonder Boys on Wednesday!

Da Boys: You guessed, right? We are the wonder boys, Da Beebs and Da Genj!!! The first couple of pics show the two of us hanging together:

Da Genj: My wonder boy shot.

I have a new bow tie. I managed to lose the other one, and #1 hasn't found it yet! This one is Japanese, and has a "Daruma" pendant!

Da Beebs: Here I am being a very good boy and watching over my Mama Tama as she eats:

And here is my wonder boy shot:

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for Part II of Tommy's adventures!

Tama-Chan's Thankful Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends! I have decided to be thankful on Tuesday this week because, let's face it, there is no particular day for that feeling. We Chans are all thankful that Tommy and #1 returned safely to us on Sunday. We are also, of course, thankful for all the treats they brought back!

Tommy did a great job choosing stuff for us!

I am of course continuing my cute campaign:

And my morning ablutions assistance:

#1 will be here for two and a half weeks before she goes off again. Sigh...

Manly Monday - Tommy's Excellent Adventure, Part I

Tommy: Woofs, everyone, #1 and I returned home late yesterday afternoon, after covering more than 1000km. We set out on Thursday and first headed to Luxembourg. A very warm welcome awaited me!

First thing on Friday morning, we went to run a very important errand.  #1 remembered from her last visit that there was a really nice pet shop near Ms. L and Mr. P's, so we went there so I could pick out some stuff for me and the Chans.

Is that for me?

We need to pick out some stuff for the Chans:

Checking the basket, making sure we haven't forgotten anything.

Waiting with Ms. L whilst #1 paid:

Once we were done, we dropped of our shopping, collected Mr. P and headed for... Germany! We went to visit a beautiful town called Trier. It dates from Roman Times, and there is so much to discover there!

I met some great woofies. Here is a French bulldog:

 And a rather crazy lab!

Posing nicely with #1:

I even met a Shiba-Inu!

Service was amazing where we had lunch:

And I had lots of admirers!

Waiting with Ms. L whilst #1 bought some wine from the Moselle:

And this was my absolute favourite woofie among all the ones I met:

Isn't she beautiful? I wish I could have spent more time with her!

I had lots more adventures on Saturday, and went to yet another country! I will tell you about all that on Thursday.
