Da Genj: #1 is wondering whether it has something to do with the changing weather and high winds we've been getting, but we have been in high hunting mode lately (except for Da Beebs who has been hunting for treats and cuddles exclusively). Yesterday morning, she heard mousie squeals in her closet and dragged me out of there before shutting the door and wishing the mousie a successful escape back to wherever he had come from. And then later, in the day, she caught me doing this:
There have been no spoils of war yet...
Tama-Chan: Yes, there is definitely something in the air. This is what #1 caught me doing yesterday:
I have refused to tell her what it was. I was on the high beam in the study, where the sky hammocks are suspended.
As for #1 herself, look at the predator she caught on camera yesterday!
Sorry it's a bit blurry but that is a kestrel hunting!
WOW. You're all furry good hunters. san would also remove me from whatever I'm hunting as its usually my sisfur Akira.
ReplyDeleteYup, this is the time of year when critters look for warmer places.
ReplyDeleteJulie is looking forward to"mouse season"
Mom, not so much.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
There was apparently a mouse or rat around here too - I was stalking it - but it seems to have escaped. Darn!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what you found up there, Tama-Chan. The other day, Goro saw a mosquito and tried to hunt it :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the last picture - #1 captured a great shot of the big birdie!
It would be a great day for you to go hunting here today Genji - the sun is shining and there are lots of little creatures to play with.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Dang, don't give up, I think I heard something in there too!
ReplyDeleteYou got to patrol for unwanted pests

mom says the cooler weather makes us a ltitle nutty too
ReplyDeleteThe cats are playing "Sherlock Holmes". Maybe there are more mice to be found. The cooler weather could be making them friskey. When it's hot, everyone feels lethargic. It becomes nap time. I bet the horses are loving this weather. I hope everyone has a good day!
ReplyDeleteWatch out mousies! :)
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Those mousies sure picked the wrong home to enter.
ReplyDeleteGenji tu as le même problème que moi ! Ils pourraient quand même nous laisser chasser en paix tous ces humains !
ReplyDeleteTama tu as trouvé un truc intéressant là haut ?
Bonne chasse

ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
We're sure you'll catch those critters soon.
ReplyDeleteGood hunting! The colder weather tempts those tasty little snacks indoors.
ReplyDeleteHope you do get a mousie or two to play with.
