Violette: Oh Dear Hearts, do you know what happened to me yesterday? I saw the DENTIST!!! He is a nice gentleman. I remember him from last year, at the place I was at before, but let's face it, the dentist is the dentist is the dentist...
Gotta say, though, I really needed that. I had what is known as "dental overgrowth" where some teeth had formed sharp edges that cut the inside of my jaw and tongue. Ouch! I feel so much better now (and I was good as gold for the dentist)! This of course means that I can get back to work, and #1 can start riding me again, as long as the weather cooperates. That is going to be fun!
Vidock: I saw the dentist a few weeks ago, so I didn't need to go again. Phew! It's been pouring with rain again so guess what? We're back to mud city! The entrance to my field is a bona fide little pond once more!
When #1 brought me by treat bucket yesterday, she walked around the field and I posed for her:
See how my coat is beginning to dapple?
Violette, we are glad you have a happy mouth again :)
ReplyDeleteVidock, we really like your dappling.

Vidock, your coat does look gorgeous. I love a dapple gray horse.
ReplyDeleteOur donkey had to have his teeth filed all the time since he has what is called a Monkey Mouth. So we familiar with the dentist. Take care.
When I came to love with san I has to go to the dentist and he took out 3 of my canines! I do not like him and I sympathize with you Violette. Vidock will then sapling be all over you?
ReplyDeleteDappling I mean, not sapling.
ReplyDeleteMegat
You look like you are being very good for the dentist Violette.
ReplyDeleteYou look good with your dapples Vidock, a sign that Spring and Summer are at last on the way.
Violette , what a brave girl to let the vet explore your mouth! Vet, what a brave man to stick your hand in a horse's mouth! :)
ReplyDeleteVidock your face is also changing so much. Your furs look lovely.
the critters in the cottage xo
Violette, that must have been so painful for you. We are so glad that you have such an attentive #1 to get that taken care of for you.

Oh no, Violette, dentist is never fun! But glad your teeth are no longer hurting inside jaw and tongue :-)
ReplyDeleteVidock, I love your dapple!
you sure are brave!! I think the dentist should have let you sit down in a chair!! lol
ReplyDeleteOhy word!! A horsie dentist! Run for the hills
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily

Violette, glad you have no cavities to fill. Vidock, your coat is dood-a-li-shus.
ReplyDeleteViolette, floating your teeth is a very good thing! You want to be able to eat and not cut your mouth and tongue. Vidock, how pretty your dapples are. Did your mom know you were going to do that? Is it something that develops as you get older?
ReplyDeleteWe'll be getting the dentist out before too long for our horses too.
ReplyDeleteSam
