Violette: Pretty Neighs, everyone! Or rather, muddy neighs. The weather is not getting any better, friends, but we gather that spring is showing great reluctance to arrive almost everywhere, other than in Japan where the cherry blossoms are out.
Anyway, the other day, when #1 arrived, this is what she saw:
Yep, that's me! The fields are wet, so a great place to lie down for a little dry snooze is on top of the hay! Many of us have been using the same technique this winter!
Very convenient to have bed and snack station next to one another!
The water, however, is a little farther away:
We're waiting for spring, the real thing!
By the way, I'm glad so many of you enjoyed my interview over at Savy's! It was fun to do and what an honour to be the first horse to be featured!
Vidock: Studly Neighs, Everyone! It's just as muddy in my field as in Violette's but I, of course, get to go indoors to a dry box at night. That's what you get for being the sole stallion around! By the way, there is a pretty little bay pony filly in the next box at night, and there is a window with bars between our boxes, so when I get in in the evening, the first thing I do is go and give little Comet a kiss.
Here I am in my field, checking out the girls on the other side:
Of course, I always come over when I see #1 approaching, bucket in hand...
Yum!
Have a great Friday, everyone!
We are waiting for the spring over here too !
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you have been interviewed by Savvy , Violette !
Shall go over and read it at once :)
We knew that you had a bad start in life Violette but didn't realise you were starved too. We are so happy for you to be cared for by #1 now and she will make sure you have the best care and lots of love.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Oh my dear V's. You are just such a favorite with my mommy. Muddy neighs or pretty ones..we here are always happy to see you as well as the other members of the family. I hope that Spring FINALLY gets there and the fields dry up! Now Vidock..kisses to Comet? Hm....is there something you should be telling us? <3
ReplyDeleteLet me go see what your interview was like dear Violette. XXOO
Wow, you have had a whole lot of rain. That sun just really needs to get there and dry things up.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Rain is good to have but maybe not so much of it all day for you guys. Will we be getting more news about Comet and your handsome self Vidock ?
ReplyDeleteViolette you are very smart to lay down on the hay. There is no spring around here either. We are having a snow storm today (not that I'm complaining).
ReplyDeleteMillie
You found a nice place to relax. Vidock you better stop looking at those girls, BOL
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Yep, spring is slow to come this year for most of us.
ReplyDeleteOh Vidock, charming the ladies? Glad you have a sturdy wall between you and Comet.
You do look comfy on the warm hay. We have much the same weather here and snow today. Wish spring would hurry up and show its face. Look at all the mud in your field as you eat from the bucket. I am going to read the interview now.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteI think a pile of hay makes an awesome spot to hang out.
ReplyDeleteVidock, does this mean you have a girlfriend now?
Even if spring is reluctant, it's great to see you in the fields enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.
ReplyDeleteWe might just be a little jealous of this Comet....
We love seeing both of you, Violette and Vidock! We hope your weather gets better, though it looks like you're making the best of what you have!
ReplyDeleteWE just love watching you wherever you are, whatever you are doing. Even in the muddy muddy pastures.
ReplyDeleteLove
Bert
Enjoy that fresh air and moisture, and soon the warm temperatures will follow.
ReplyDeleteWe read Violette's interview and enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have spring, even if it's muddy.
I like the sound of this snack station! Yum :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope that you will all have warm, sunny spring weather very soon to help dry out your fields and make the grasses grow!
Hang in there, guys! Spring's coming!!
