Manly Monday

Vidock: Neeeeeeeeeighs, EveryFriend! I feel that my name has been totally sullied of late and I must defend myself. I am a GOOD BOY! It's just that my hormones are raging, and it's spring, and… well… things sort of run away with me occasionally. Very sadly, #1 was in the way the other day. I really didn't mean to hurt her. Just wanted to let her know I was boss….  WHAT? I am not boss, #1? Well, actually, I did get that message from Mr. E when he and Ms. S came to see me yesterday…

Can you see the way he is walking in this photo? He meant business. Oh yes!

I tried to show him that if he was mean to sweet little me, I could run away and join the Viennese Riding School (I'm going to be white one day. They'll just think I'm a big Lippizaner…). But no dice.

He even made me stand still whilst another stallion was prancing around just next to me!

I worked up quite a sweat!

And he says he's coming back for more of the same next Sunday. Until I behave like a gentlehorse… The good news is that #1 says she still loves me:

Hey, do you like my blankie? It's a sweat rug for after exercise, and I think I look pretty dashing in it.

Tom: He's really into high drama, that Big V, don't you think? Me, I like to enjoy life:

Da Beebs: Get a load of this pic! I got to share #1's scones and West Country Double Cream, all the way from England!

And here I am, napping peacefully with my Mama Tama next to me. That's what good boys do!

Genji: You know what? I think that Mr. E is very cool, and Sei-Chan (the timid Sei-Chan!) agrees with me. He really appreciates us kitties!

And here is a lovely portrait of me. Two fine young men together, doncha think?

Salutary Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I suppose I shouldn't really be in charge of this post as I am not the one who provided the salutary snuggles, but #1 said that SoS was always hosted by me and so I should anyway.

#1 would like to thank everyone for their good wishes. She says that the knee is already feeling better and is less swollen. The doctor did stop by yesterday and has concluded that it was just a bad knock and should get better fairly quickly.

As Sei-Chan mentioned yesterday, she and the Boys have been looking after #1 (don't ask me why I haven't. Who knows? Although I did give the doctor a huge smooch!). So, here they all are at work, snuggling with #1 to make her feel better.

First off, my Beebs:

Then Genji:

And Sei-Chan having another go under the covers:

This not exactly a snuggle shot but it shows Genji and me looking together at something very interesting on the mosquito netting. Can you see it?

Before the accident, #1 did take a couple of selfies with the Vs. Here is the Big Brute:

And Violette the Sweet:

Wishing you all a very Snuggly Sunday!

SEIturday

Sei-Chan: We are all feeling very sorry for our poor #1. She really did not deserve this and, to add insult to injury, yesterday she also got a traffic ticket from England for driving in a bus lane (she had no idea she had done it). Pooh!

Anyway, the boys and I have been taking turns nursing her. I started out on the bed:

But I decided I would do her more good by snuggling with her under the covers:

Before all this happened, I had been busy enjoying sunpuddles:

And enjoying the unmade bed in the guest room:

#1's GP friend is stopping by today to take a look at the knee. It's so kind of him. He's the one who loves pussycats too!

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

Da Beebs: Well, I was supposed to go to the vet today to get my annual check-up and shots but it seems I got a reprieve, although not for the best reasons. Our poor #1 is on the injured list. She got shoved badly by the Big V yesterday and fell over, injuring her face and that pesky right knee again again. So, we are all going to take care of her over the next few days. The Big V is apparently going to be getting a major lesson in respect by Mr. E on Sunday. Stay tuned…

We do have some good photos to share with you today. My own BibiBats are quite famous, although #1 says that, in this photo, they could be called Razorbats:

Here are some "behind the scenes" GenBats:

Some pensive MamaTamaBats:

And some SeiBats:

Violette is always happy to contribute!

No Big V photo today. He is being punished for behaving like a brute…

On the Flying Ears side, Tommy has done us proud, as always:

And Fernant has submitted his first ever contribution!

Wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tom: The weather has been pretty nice since #1's return and we have really been enjoying our walks in the fields, me playing with my ball and her taking photos of spring flowers and the like. Just look at this:

And this:

We did have Fernant with us for a couple of days earlier in the week, so there was a lot of playing:

And posing:

Do I look happy?????

So much to be thankful for!

Wednesday Whinnies

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! How are you all doing? I am doing great because I am now on vacation! My stint of being ridden daily is over and i am taking it easy until I start working towards my driver's licence. But #1 is still taking care of me. She says I need a really good brushing and I am going to get one very soon! In the meantime, I am trying to do a little negotiating. See this bucket?

It's empty, #1!!!

Can you believe she told me I was a greedy piglet?

Should I pout?

Violette: Pretty Neighs!!! It's now my turn to get all dressed up and go to work! Yesterday, #1 came into my field and when she took me out and then brushed me, this is what happened:

Do you like all my colour-coordinated gear?

Then we went off down the lane:

#1 says she has only ever done this long-reining work once before and so she was a little nervous, but I helped her out and we made it to the end of the lane and back. She says we're going to try again today!

Afterwards, I got my treat bucket, and Mr. Floppy Ears came to supervise that it was properly filled:

I love new adventures!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Is it not absolutely wonderful to be back to our regular programming after all the madness of last week? Life at Poupounette Central is settling back into routine (even though we did have Fernant with us for a while there…). And I have been taking great pains to show #1 that I am not just the Queen but also a mighty huntress! Take a look at this photo:

Yes! That is indeed a tail hanging out of my mouth! And someone was trying to steal my trophy lizard from me!

Don't worry. I hung on to it.

In other news, I have been supervising #1's return to work:

Basking in the sun…

And practicing the head dangle:

Life is good!
