SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: Today, I am SEIriously into relaxation mode as I had a rather traumatic Friday. You see, #1 tricked me (!) and bundled me into the carrier and into the car and off we went. Apparently, it was my time of year to see Dr.C. I protested loudly but to no avail! She can be a bit heartless at times. And what I really don't understand is the way Tommy bounds in there as though it was an ice cream parlour!

As #1 expected, I have put on weight, but not as much as she had feared, and Dr.C told her it had better stop at this... So, I'm a little chubby. #1 explained that I don't seem to eat more than the others, especially that "Genji The Vacuum" inhales everything that's in all the dishes immediately (and is thin as a rake. NOT FAIR!). Dr. C explained that it was like humans. Some people are more prone to roundness than others. Sigh...

I was so very happy to come home! Just making sure that #1 doesn't have any more "plans" for me.

A girl always has to be watchful!

Oh, and other than the extra grammes, I am in fine form!

Vidock & Violette Vendredi!

Vidock: Neigh Everyone! Your favourite stud here! We have had pretty stinky weather of late but #1 has managed to come and visit most days in between the raindrops! When she arrives, Big Tom and I head over to say hello:

The other day, #1 told me she needed a really nice shot of me for the historian of the Percheron breed in France. He had sent her a full 5-generation pedigree of me and mentioned he did not have a photo, so I obliged:

And once the business end of things is done, it's back to horse zoomies with Tom and our bro Viking!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Dear Friends! Violette here! Life is good for me. I like to play hide and seek with #1!

And I love all the yummy food I get!

Since these photos were taken, I have been moved to a much bigger double box and I am learning to play football with a Jolly Ball! It's a lot of fun! Next Tuesday, I get my second round of shots and then I will be able to go outside with the other girls. WooHoo!

Thankful Thursday

Genji: First of all, we would like to thank everyone for the kind words for Tommy. We are thankful that he remains limp-free. He will go along to Dr. C's tomorrow because he always does when #1 takes any of us there. He likes Dr. C! And I also wanted you to know that I, Genji, always have Tommy's back!

We are also thankful today because we received our package from Nip and Bones and there were all kinds of cool things in there!

We are great fans of Beastie Bands but they are not sold in France so we were delighted to find them at the Nip and Bones store. Please note that the pink one has horses on it! We also put an early order for a Christmas collar for Sei-Chan. The one at the top of the photo is not a Beastie Band. It's a Buddy Cat Safety Collar and it's for me! Blue with silver hearts!!!

#1 also ordered us some of those funny springy tube toys and some yummy treats:

And Tommy got a great new peppermint-flavoured ball which he will try out as soon as he gets the all-clear from Dr.C!

We thought the selection at Nip and Bones was great and plan to shop there again soon.

Woofie Wednesday!

Tom: It's me again, Tommy! #1 told me I could have a post all of my own this week! Actually, she has been a bit worried about me which may explain this... You see, yesterday afternoon, she noticed that I was limping and holding up my right front paw as much as possible. She palpated, looked between my toes again and again, went over every millimeter of my paw and leg and couldn't find anything sensitive. So, she got worried and decided to call Dr. C first thing this morning. Dr. C wasn't there but her assistant calmed her down and said it was probably a light sprain and to just keep an eye on it today. And guess what? I am no longer limping! However, no ball throwing this morning. #1 says we have to be careful and make sure I am fine. But we do have some photos for you!

Anyway, do you think you could cross your paws that I don't start limping again? We do have an appointment with Dr.C on Friday afternoon as Sei-Chan needs her annual shots anyway.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Dear Friends, this weather is simply not acceptable. It is grey, windy, rainy and COLD. I mean the maximum temperature is forecast at 8C (that is 46F!). What kind of an April is this? None of us could summon the energy to get out of bed this morning.

First, I decided to warm #1's desk chair for her:

And then, I thought I would spend some time checking out the supplies in our cellar and then do my Cerberus impersonation. What do you think?

Manly Monday: Four Portraits and an Achievement!

Tom: Happy Monday, everyone! Tommy here! I am the one with the achievement! This year, #1 and I were inspired by our good friends Khyra and Phyll to enter IDITA-WALK 2012. As it says on the Idita-Walk home page "The Idita-Walk is an event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race". The idea is to walk 1049minutesover the two months of February and March when people are not generally too keen to be outdoors. I am happy to say that not only did we achieve the goal but we actually walked 4135 minutes over that period, and placed 75th in terms of minutes walked out of 739 finishers! I got a great certificate from the organizers!

Genji, on the other hand, has opted for a more "cute overload" approach...

Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: So, Dear Friends, it is Sunday again and guess what? #1 does not have any photos of ME snuggling! Can you believe that? She is trying to redeem herself with this photo which she says shows off my peaceful gorgeousness:

Still, I am keeping tabs on her. There had better be a proper SoS photo for next time!

When he is not plotting further escapes, my Beebs loves to snuggle with Tommy!

Not sure if this is exactly a snuggle between my Bibi and Genji... maybe more a tussle-in-waiting...

And here is Tommy enjoying a big snuggle with his buddy Kayo who comes from Germany to visit his grandmother a couple of times a year and always has a great time with Tommy!

Needless to say, Tommy and Sei-Chan continue their big love-fest!
