Tom: It's me again, Tommy! #1 told me I could have a post all of my own this week! Actually, she has been a bit worried about me which may explain this... You see, yesterday afternoon, she noticed that I was limping and holding up my right front paw as much as possible. She palpated, looked between my toes again and again, went over every millimeter of my paw and leg and couldn't find anything sensitive. So, she got worried and decided to call Dr. C first thing this morning. Dr. C wasn't there but her assistant calmed her down and said it was probably a light sprain and to just keep an eye on it today. And guess what? I am no longer limping! However, no ball throwing this morning. #1 says we have to be careful and make sure I am fine. But we do have some photos for you!
Anyway, do you think you could cross your paws that I don't start limping again? We do have an appointment with Dr.C on Friday afternoon as Sei-Chan needs her annual shots anyway.
Purrs and prayers for no limping, Tommy! Now you rest up properly like a good boy! That ball isn't going to chase itself!
ReplyDeletePaaaaaaww Tommy, paw pads crossed you get the all clear, hopefully just a scratch somewhere that is healing....Barb is right, you take care for that ball won't chase itself! x
ReplyDeleteYou lively field dogs sometimes get strains and sprains. I think you will be fine, but no tennis ball for a few days, OK?
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
of course we will cross our paws for you....hopefully nothing serious and you can be back to ball chasing after a short break!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking good Tommy. Just rest up and you won't have to visit Dr. C on Friday too.
ReplyDeleteCindy

We will purr that you are doing well. We do not want you to be hurt.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is just a sprain and nothing more, Tom - I will be purring for you.
ReplyDeleteWe've had that with the pups before-sore foot or joint or perhaps mild sprain as a result of lots of activity. It usually clears up in a few days. No ball fetching for a day or two though :)
ReplyDeleteWe'll keep all our paws crossed that you'll be fine Monsieur Tommy !

Tommy, we think a good sit with the heating pad would feel good. Hope you're in the pink again soon...

Better rest a few days to make sure all is okay! Sammy hurt his hip last winter and was banned from ball chasing for a whole month -- it was terrible! Beautiful pictures -- you are such a handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteThat happens to all of us once in a while. Take it easy and get some good snuggling going on there. We hope it is just a mild sprain or even less than that.
