Meme!

Sen-Chan: I got tagged for my very first meme yesterday, by my new friend Chance. It' for the 6 quirks meme.

To start with, here are the rules:
• Link to the one who tagged you
• List the rules on your blog
• Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours

Now for the good stuff. Here is what #1 and I came up with

• I love NOSES! I am not sure why although I am told that my mummy has the same quirk. Anyway, my favourite way of telling #1 how much I love her is to lick her nose.

• I love DOGS! Well, we had a Sharpei at the cattery when I was tiny and, as soon as I got to #1's home, I made friends with Madrac from next door. When Tom arrived a month later, he was the cutest thing you've ever seen and quickly became my best buddy. I've met a bunch of other dogs since, and I like them all!

• I love FOOD! When I was very little, I didn't eat much because I had terrible colds for weeks on end and I couldn't taste anything. But when my nose cleared up, there was this explosion of yumminess in my life! I haven't looked back!

• I never hiss, bite, or take my claws out in anger. #1 keeps telling me how amazing that is. For me, it's just normal. I love everybody and everybody loves me!

• I love TV and all screens. One day, #1 put on a Japanese "anime" of the life story of the guy I was named after ("Sengikumaru"). I sat in front of the TV and was quite transfixed.

• When I sleep, I am OUT and rarely wake up when someone comes into the room or close to me. Of course, maybe I would if it was a stranger, but I feel so safe with #1 and Tom!

And on that note, here is a photo of me last night, "helping" #1 with her work....

I would like to Tag my friends Abby and Isis for this meme.

Birthday Wishes

We will post again later concerning other matters, but we wanted to start the day by saying:

Thankful on Thursday!

Sen-Chan: Actually, the title to this posting was about to be "Tantrum on Thursday" as  #1 was feeling so frustrated at not being able to move around more, since she needs to get the guest room ready. But then, #1's pal, Ms. A called to say she would come over this afternoon to give her a hand, and would bring Pie (did I tell you that she is my biggest fan?) so she and Tom could romp together. So, instead of throwing a tantrum, #1 is smiling and feeling grateful. Hurray for good friends!

Talking of friends, I thought I might introduce to you one of my virtual friends. His name is "Chi" and he is the star of a wonderful Japanese Manga (comic) series by Konami Kanata, called "Chi's Sweet Home." It's about a lost kitten who is found by a little boy and brought into his family, even though they're not allowed to keep pets in their apartment building. They eventually move house, just for the sake of the kitten, and Chi has all sorts of wonderful adventures. Here I am  with my little "Chi" cushion/bitey toy:

Tom: I don't have a lot to report, except that I did exceptionally well at catching the Frisbee this morning! And #1 has ordered me a couple of new ones since I am chewing the current one into nothingness! The ones I like (they're called Disc-O-Dog)  are not available in France, so she ordered them from England. Nice #1! In case you didn't get enough of them last time, here is another action shot of me:

A Quiet Day

Tom: I'm in charge of blogging today! It's a little more cloudy today, and after all the excitement of the past few days, #1 decided that we would have a quiet day today. Plus she thinks it would be really good for her leg. We have guests arriving for the weekend and we all need to be fit and mobile by then!

So, I got Sen-Chan to do my toes in the morning:

It was obviously hard work as he has been resting since:

And I have been indulging my passion for chomping on sticks of wood:

Terrific Tuesday!

Sen-Chan: Did you see that photo? Did you, DID YOU?!!!!!!! It's me and Tom, outside, in the grass, exploring the garden in the sun.

#1 said that as long as I was good, and stayed close to them, and came back in when they did, she would let me gambol outside for a little while each day, under full "Snoopervision" as my friend Abby Normal calls it.

Our pal Madrac was around too so I said hello and played with her for a while:

Tom: Boy, Sen-Chan certainly is enjoying his outings! I played with him for a while, but I was very busy as #1 had the Frisbee. Since she is throwing it sitting down because of her sore leg, she had her camera and tried to capture some actions shots. She didn't quite get me leaping in the air, actually catching it, but I think these are pretty good:

Opportunity Monday!

Sen-Chan: I know it's probably not really nice of me to take advantage of #1's current misfortune but I confess that I did!!! As she was moving pretty slowly when she opened the door to let Tom out this morning, I managed to sneak out and, of course, she couldn't run after me! So she just hobbled out after us, sat on her chair at the top of the slope and started to throw the Frisbee for Tom. As for me? Woo-Eeeeee!!! She told me later that I looked like a kangaroo! I was running like the wind, leaping up in the air. I could have probably caught that Frisbee from under Tom's nose if I had tried! Anyway, all good things come to an end. They played Frisbee for about 15 minutes and when they went back in, I went in too. Needless to say, #1 didn't have her camera (boy, was she kicking herself!), so here is a shot of me looking saintly instead:

Tom: I, on the other hand, am being a perfect gentleman and a truly excellent woofie! #1 told me that Ms. A and Pie would be coming by this afternoon so I could have a run with Pie, and I am just taking it easy in the meantime. And #1 can still be play Frisbee with me, which is very important. Now that I am a big boy, I always bring the Frisbee back to her.

Ouchy Sunday!

Tom: This morning, #1 didn't seem to be walking as fast as usual, but we went off to the chateau again, and I got to run around the moat. This time she took her camera with her, so you can see me as a "Chateau Boy"

And here is a nice close-up of me:

Anyway, #1 then left us to go off somewhere and when she came back, she could barely walk! Apparently, she has pulled a muscle in her left leg! So, she is clanking around the house with a stick and keeps telling me that we are both going to need to be good over the next few days. I of course am always good!

Sen-Chan: #1 looks pretty sore and I guess I shall have to give her even more cuddles than usual. So I've been building up my strength:
