Sei-Chan: One week ago, I was counting down to my 9th birthday. You were all so kind in helping me celebrate last Sunday. Since then, I have had a nice week, and we even had a few sunpuddles the last couple of days!

I think I have mentioned in the past that I like to sit in the comfy dome which is on the landing in our house:

 

What happens is this: On her way up the stairs, #1 stops when her head is eye-level with me and then... she covers me with kisses!!! 

 

 

She says I am completely irresistible! 

Here is my proof that we had actual sunpuddles:

 

She caught me when I was having a quick spruce-up. 

Now, you may be wondering what my title is all about. You all know my big sister, Violette (she's actually two and a half months younger than me, but that's another matter). Well, today, Miss Violette is going off on a little training course. A very nice lady, Ms. C, is taking her home and will be working with her for a couple of months. Violette has been a little ornery of late and Ms. C is going to figure out how to make her happy again. So, if you could all cross your paws that she is happy over there and that all goes well, we would all be most grateful. I am sure she will tell you more about it all next week. Of course, #1 will be visiting her regularly as she will only be about three quarters of an hour's drive away.

#1 says it will be strange to have neither The Big V nor Violette nearby, but at least she still has Heloise, Hotesse and Doucette to cuddle!

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

The others are just lower case frootbats, doncha think?

 

 

Not that they would actually agree with me...

Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: Woofs everyone! The weather has been really awful! Yesterday, we had wind and icy rain all day. There were no walks. Just quick ins and outs for necessary things, but that was it. Fortunately, I was busy helping #1 with taking down down that beautiful horse exhibition we put up in late September, so we were inside:

And guess what? When we were taking down one of the larger photos, this little guy fell out from behind a pillar!

 

He was picked up and put in a safe area. #1 sets that bats are awesome.

I also went out lunching with #1:

By the way, you guys often have review articles about various yummy things which you are asked to taste. That never happens here, but I did want to tell you about this delicious stuff that #1 had ordered for me in the states and then got a friend to bring over:

 

The brand name is Plato and the treats are all salmon, which I love. Let me tell you, they are very yummy! I get these treats right before bedtime!

Not much to report otherwise. When the weather is like this, this remains the main activity at Poupounette Central:

Tama-Chan Tusday

Tama-Chan: First of all, I would like to thank all those who left such sweet birthday comments for my sister Sei. She was quite chuffed!

It has been a quiet time since my last post. #1 has been here, it has been raining a lot, and we have just been hanging out. By the way, we are 100 miles (160km) from Paris, for those of you who were worried we might be flooded too.

Manly Monday

Da Beebs: I discovered pasta the other day! It is the yummiest food I have ever eaten! I am very lucky that #1 let me share her plate of spaghettini with grated Parmesan (the real thing not the pre-grated sawdust stuff) cheese the other day:

Da Genj: #1 always says that I tuck myself in really well when I nap!

 

I have also been sharing some special times with my nip banana!

 

Tommy: I don't need chemicals. I have my walks and #1 to throw me my ball!

 

We even had a little bit of blue sky on our Saturday walk!

 

Choupinou, the calf next door, has been growing bigger and more manly, so we thought we would include a pic of him too!

 

SEIlebration Sunday!

Sei-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to my 9th birthday "SEIlebration"! Neither I nor #1 have actually been able to get our heads around the fact that I am actually 9 years old. She said that I was a tiny kitten only yesterday!

Some of you already know this but #1 first met me when I was 3 weeks old, and my breeder thought I was a boy!

In this pic, I am about 7 weeks old:

 I was a happy kitten!

And I loved my Mummy!

Now here is something that has never been shown on the blog before! It is a video of me nursing, with my mama, Viña del Mar. I was about 10 weeks old at the time.

The years have passed, as they do. I remain the shyest of the Chans but #1 always says I am adorable (blush). As you know, I adore my Tommy who had been my champion right from the beginning. I think this is our first photo together:

 

And then I just kept on getting closer!

My sister Tama also looked after me really well when I was a little kit:
