Some Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: The weather does not seem able to make its mind. We think it's summer, then it gets cool again, and then warm again... #1 tells us they have been having the hots where she is. Anyway, we have a few new snuggle shots for you today, courtesy of Ms. R.

Here, for a start is me having a snuggle with Tommy:

And, of course, Sei-Chan having a snuggle with Tommy too!

And here is that tart, Genji, giving Ms. R a big smooch:

As for the other members of the Gang, well, we are once again turning to our archives to see what we can dig up:. Here is a picture from January 2010 showing me, a tiny Beebs (at four weeks old) and #1:

Here is Big V, Vidock, at about six weeks, considering a snuggle with Ms. S:

And here is Violette at 5 months, with her Mama, Hôtesse:

See that look she's giving #1? That "I'm coming to live you some day" look?!

We hope you're enjoying getting some of these archival shots along with new pics whilst #1 is away.

Still SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Hello Dear Friends. Even though #1 is not here at the moment, SEIturday will always be SEIturday, right? And you know what? She was a bit sneaky and saved a couple of the nicest pics from that great photo shoot for this week!

Here is one of me looking particularly cute on #1's bed:

And how about this one of me in a sunpuddle?

As she has rather more time to herself than usual, #1 has been doing some cataloguing of photos in her iPhoto album, and she came across some cute photos of me to share.

When I was a very little girl, I liked to sit astride my big sister Tama, who was really very nice about it:

I was also bestest friends with my sweet brother Yuu-Chan who went to the Bridge far too soon. #1 used to call us the "Red Devils"!

Last but not least, here is a sunny portrait of me, taken when I was about 17 months old:

It's fun looking through old photos, don't you think?

Friends on Friday

Greetings! #1 here, hijacking today's post. It has been a week and a day since I arrived here  and I am feeling quite desolate without all of my trusted companions by my side. As you can imagine, life without furries is really not an option and, thankfully, I have friends here who are willing to share!

I am spending a lot of time with Murphy and Leo, two Springers you may remember from my posts last summer.

Here is Leo:

He even came through with some flying ears!

And here is Murphy:

The toys came from France and, as I sit at my friend's kitchen table, using her Wi-Fi, this is the scene I see most:

It's hard to resist such invitations!

In case you were wondering, there is also pussycat time. Here is Bitz who is a grand old lady and as cute as her name:

And this is Ian who, at 20lb, is a big boy!

Last but not least is a somewhat blurry photo of Maddie. She is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and never stands still! She has "the cone" on because she had to have a toe amputated and she is as bad, if not worse, than Tommy when it comes to wound access:

This weekend, I am going up the west end of the Island and hope to visit a Percheron breeder there so there may be some horsie pics to include next week!

Tommy's This and That on Thursday

Tom: #1 left a week ago. Can you believe it has been that long? Of course it also means that her return is a whole week closer!!!

I am doing well and my wound is all healed. Now for the fur to grow back where Dr. C shaved it off. Fortunately, due to my colouring, it's not terribly obvious.

As #1 isn't here and I am not visiting the Vs at the moment, I have been playing with my pony at home:

I had somewhat itchy ears one day and The Beebs gave them a thorough cleaning. I thought that was a very brotherly thing to do.

Since we don't have a lot of new photos to post, #1 thought it would be fun to go back through the archives and find a photo of me taken five years ago. When she looked through, she found this photo, taken on July 2, 2008. It is one of her very favourite photos of me!

Oh, and #1 has a question for our kitty friends: She picked this up at a store yesterday and is wondering whether anyone has tried them?

HAPPY JULY 4TH TO OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS!

Wednesday Whinnies

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Folks. Yes, it's true. #1 has indeed abandoned us. I am missing special scritches and treat buckets, but one thing I apparently do not have the miss is the clicking of the camera shutter... Young Ms. N has taken over from #1.

I can see you there, young lady, trying to blend in with the grass...

Munch, munch, munch...

OK, so you want a nice shot, maybe something a little along the mysterious romantic portrait idea? Let me see... How about this?

Violette: Pretty neighs, everyone! I have been a busy girl as the weather has been nice so there have been a lot of trail rides. Young Ms. N rode me for the first time last weekend and I was, of course, good as gold!

She also took a couple of nice portraits of me:

Tama's THUNDERy Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Even though I am queen of my own household, today, I bow my head deeply, along with all my siblings, to honour THUNDER, a dear, dear friend who has just crossed to that special place north of the Rainbow Bridge where the wonderful "Woo-Dogs" go. When we first started to follow The Chronicle of Woos, they had a beautiful girl by the name of Dakota who was gradually fading away, and Thunder, known affectionately as Thunder Dunder, or TD, was a young thing full of life and mischief. In the intervening years, he had become a grown-up who looked after his sister Ciara and his young brother, Lightning, and respected the grand old man of the family, Phantom. TD fell ill recently and it soon became evident that nothing might be done. The downward path was staggeringly swift and TD left us yesterday.

TD, Tommy always wished he could romp and play with you, and I have no doubt that, whatever your Sibe instincts, you would have been a good friend to all of us kitties. Today, we reach out to your Mom, Kathie, and all your family, and offer what comfort we can. We will not forget you, Thunder, and imagine you romping in a snowy landscape with Dakota and other old friends. Special thoughts for Phantom, Ciara and Lightning.

Monday Miscellany

Genji: We are all beginning to settle down to our new routine, missing #1 but enjoying the attentions of Ms. R. We have been hearing from #1 (who keeps asking for news of us and says she misses us a lot!) and it seems that she is already using her time well.

That was just her first visit to PetSmart. She says she has to pace herself. Otherwise, she will need a large trunk to return home and will be destitute by then... In case you were wondering, Tama-Chan just loves chicken Luvs!!!

Here is a pic of Wild Boy Houbibi that Ms. R took after he had returned to being Beebsteroo:

And a cute pic of me which I hope we haven't shown you before:

One of Tommy:

And one of Big V Vidock:
