Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: I am thankful for my buddy Harley. He and I have the best time together every time we go to see the Vs with #1:

There is no end to the muddy games we can play!

Wheeeeeeeeee!

Wednesday Wonder

The Beebs: Many of you were very taken with Sei-Chan's mention of having her very own treat station the other day, so we thought it would be fun to show you the full array. Fortunately. #1 was successful in getting a good photo:

I am the one who started the treat station thing, with Sei-Chan joining me soon after. Mama Tama and Gen-Chan eventually climbed onto the bandwagon. We all have our allocated spots (L to R: Sei, Tama, Me and Genji) and we always go to the same place.

Oh, and here is a gratuitous photo of me:

I am crossing my paws in the hope that it will stop raining one day. No sign of that yet, though...

Tama-Chan's Toesday

Tama-Chan: Those of you who have been our friends for years may remember this, but since we have so many more recent friends, we thought we would talk a little bit about my very special toes.

Take a look at my front right paw. Do you see anything unusual?

That's right! There's something missing! I have one toe less than standard. I am in fact the opposite of a polydactyl, with just three toes on my front right paw!

Now my front left paw is also unusual because I have a couple of atrophied toes:

And that is how and why I came to live with #1, Sen-Chan and Tommy. I was useless to my breeder. He said that if I had not had my toe issues, I would probably have been a top grade show cat. But I was lucky, I think, because I came to live here instead. And when I had my litter of kits, they all had perfect toes!

My back paws, by the way, have the requisite number of toes!

And my toe issue has never stopped me from doing anything. Do you remember the famous picture, taken a few years ago, showing the Headless Tama?

And here I am a couple of days ago, seriously pondering the catching of the Neko Fly:

Last but not least, we would all like to send comforting purrs, woofs, neighs and hugs to Khyra and her family. They lost their sweet Golden cousin Merdie who made her journey to the Bridge yesterday. Run Free, Merdie!

Manly Monday

Bibi-Chan: Last week was quite the week for me, what with my appearance as Hot Mancat of the Blogosphere, although...... I have not had any girlcat approach me yet, so I am still single... Needless to say, the love of my life is #1, and I love, love, love cuddling up to her each and every night, under the covers!

No, #1, it can't be time to get up yet!

I have also been giving Genji tutorials on how to look awesome. He is a pretty good student and pays close attention:

Genji: Guess what? #1 finally got out the NEKO FLY for us! I LOVE it, and so does Tama-Chan! Sorry this photo is a bit blurred:

Beebs insisted I show you a picture of him with it too:

So, back to me. When it was sunny the other day, #1 did a photo shoot of me. She named this photo "The Blue Boy""

Tommy: I have been very busy since IDITA-WALK 2013 started last Friday. This is the second year I am taking part, inspired by my friend Khyra. If you are not familiar with Idita-Walk, you can read all about it here. The goal is to walk 1049 minutes between February 1 and March 31. It is a way to encourage people to get out and walk during the gloomy days of winter.

After all that exercise, I am always happy to have a snooze with my toys...

... until I can get out in the fields again!

Vidock: Do you think #1 is happy when she sees this face coming over to her?

One of these days, when the rain and mud go away, I am going to carry you on my back, you know!

Have a great week, Friends!

Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: You may remember, Dear Friends, that I was bundled off to the vet's this week, Friday to be precise. I get very scared at the vet's, despite being a Queen and all that, and glue myself to #1 as much as possible. On the ride there and back, I wear my Puppia harness and ride shotgun for #1:

Well, I got my shots and felt a little subdued yesterday, so I got lots of extra cuddles, Zoom-Grooming ad playtime with #1. I am back to feeling myself 100% now.

Most of the time, when #1 comes up to her study, she finds me here:

... that being her desk chair, of course, so she has to accommodate herself onto the remaining space. This  provides lots of discreet snuggle time for both of us!

That Bibi-Boy of mine is rather more blatant in his snuggling with #1:

Ditto for when he snuggles with Tommy!

Genji, as we know, likes to hog #1's lap:

Tommy likes to have his own snuggle time with #1:

Remember that, last week, we had no snuggle shots of Tommy and Sei-Chan? We can certainly make up for that this week!

We don't have any snuggle shots with the Vs today, but #1 went to see them yesterday and they are in fine form and send everyone their best neighs.

Wishing you all a sunny and snuggly Sunday

SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: I must confess, Dear Friends, that I do feel a teeny bit like a blog hog, given that I already had my big birthday post on Monday, but what the heck? I will take whatever blog time I can get!

I just LOVED all the nice comments you left on my birthday. You are all wonderful friends, and so, I convinced #1 to do an unexpected last-minute draw on the names of all those who left comments so we could send off a little giftie to the winner. And guess what? The winners are the great gang over at CRITTER COTTAGE! We will try to get the package out to them early next week.

I do have just a few photos to share with you today. Let's start with a profile shot that will show you a bit more of my new collar:

This is my very own treat station in #1's bedroom. We get our treats in the evening and in the morning, and we all have our places.

#1 caught me here in mid-ablutions:

I am not sure how amused I was by that...

I need to reflect on that one...

We will mention this again next week, but for those of our readers who live in the UK, or have access to UK television, we wanted to mention that "Martin Clunes: Heavyhorse Power" will be broadcast on ITV onThursday, February 7th, from 9 to 10pm. As you may surmise, the entire programme is on heavy horses, and a portion of it was filmed on the Fish Run last September, the event that #1 participated in. Who knows? There may even be a glimpse of her? The people shown training Clunes' horses, the Sampsons, are also good friends of #1's and work with Percherons in England.

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Studly Neighs! I can't say that the weather has improved much, except that it's been warmish and so there is no longer any ice and I don't have to worry about slipping on my way from my box to my field and back. The mud, however, is still very much there and everyone is wishing it would go away! I mean, just look at the mess behind me!

I would say you're better off focusing on my handsome profile:

And there's nothing like a few strands of hay to give you that rugged, rustic look!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! I do agree with Vidock. The mud is awful, but #1 managed to take some nice portraits of me this week!

And here I am with a few my "bale buddies":

Here's hoping you all have a great weekend!
