Frightful Friday

Momo-Chan: Fluff Puff here! Let me start by telling you that it was in fact a frightful, and somewhat embarrassing, Thursday. Yesterday, #1 bundled me and my bro, Ryū, into carriers and put us in the car. Whereas little Dragon screamed all the way at the top of his lungs, I only let out the occasional pathetic meow. #1 told us not to be such drama queens, and that we were just going for our booster shots and mani-pedis.

First, I was weighed and I have lost 400gr (1lb) since last year and came in at a perfect 5.65 kilos (just under 12lb). But then, Dr. C started to examine me and she saw little black dots in my pristine white furs! I have fleas!!! Eeeeeeeeeek! I got a special pill right away, and #1 bagged Advantage pipettes for Ryū and Benny. I also got my shots and got my nails done. All the while, I was being held by my auntie, Ms. P. She is my blood bro, Tokyo's, mum!!! She said I was quieter and thinner than my bro, and that my tail was a little shorter than his!

Ryū-chan wasn't checked for fleas there and then, but #1 found some flea poop in his furs after we got home, so he got the treatment then. He weights in at 3.55kg (a little under 8lb), 150 grammes more than last year, but he is still skinny as a rake. Dr. C said he was just perfect. He was purring up a storm and sucking up to everyone! #1 wasn't able to get as many pics of him, though, as he threw a fit when he saw a horse out of the window. Dr. C ended up closing the blind to calm him down!

#1 also told Dr. C about little Noura and how keen she was for her to arrive. Dr. C said that it sounded like Animals Lebanon were doing everything right for her.

So, that was our big adventure yesterday. Hopefully, we will not have to go anywhere near Dr. C's again for another year. #1 often brings Ollie along when one of us has to go to Dr. C's, but she didn't want Benny to be left all alone, so he stayed home.

  1. I guess the good thing about the trip out to the vet, was to get those silly fleas under control. I've heard of a flea circus and you certainly wouldn't want one of those in your house.

  2. It sounds as if you had quite an adventure, Momo! I’m glad Dr C found the fleas so they could be treated. The especially like long haired cats, but move to all cats. You both look healthy and handsome. Linda

  5. It's never fun going to the vet but you don't want your house infested with biting fleas!
