Tama-Chan Tuesday - The Rainbow Queen

Rainbow Queen Tama: I bet you are surprised to see a TTT post today! Well here I am, young, healthy (and plump) again, settling in at the Rainbow Bridge where I have claimed my position as Queen, to the delight of all who went before. Thank you again to all of you for your kind words and for the love you showed my #1. The hardest thing was leaving her, but I went over the Bridge held tightly in her arms and that love will always stay with me.

As my life was so long in cat years, doing a single post retrospective was really not possible. So TTT will live on a while longer as #1 and I look back over our time together. This first post will look at the first year of my life, from my first meeting with #1 when I was just a few weeks old, to my first birthday, on August 2, 2009. I hope you will enjoy the photos.

This is the first photo #1 ever saw of me:

This is the day we met. I was five weeks old:

And already a looker!

When I came home, I met Sen-Chan who welcomed me with open paws:

He sadly went over the Bridge less than two months later, and Tommy then took over looking after me. I can't tell you what a joy it is to be reunited with them both:

And #1 of course loved me to bits:

A big event of my first year happened in May 2009, when my sister Sei-Chan joined the family. I loved my sister and am so happy to be with her again!

As I grew, I became more and more beautiful!

I loved going out in the newly-built cat run, ands there was the famous "Headless Tama" incident one day!

Fortunately, I did find my head!

Here I am, in the cat run, on my first birthday. At the time, the Gang consisted of me, my sister Sei-Chan, and woofie Tommy.

Next week, I will tell you all about my exciting second year, which included my one venture into motherhood!

  4. I am glad you have settled in well at the Rainbow Bridge, Queen Tama. Although it was very sad to leave your earthly family, and very sad for them, it is a happy time for you to be reunited with those who went before. Your photos are adorable.

  12. Those were pawsome memories! How wonderful for #1 to have them all to treasure always. You sure loved your Ollie! That's how it was with our MJF and Toki, only MJF was the baby and Toki 'adopted' him, right from the first day he was in our house.
Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us!
