Violette: So, that big lump is back in town. I haven't seen him yet but I'm sure I shall soon. My current field is some way from where he is, but #1 told me he had returned. I am sure he will be doing his darndest to steal the limelight from the rest of us. I mean, just look at this picture. He is such a poseur!
See? He managed to convince me to put a pic of him first instead of one of me. Honestly! So, here I am, pretty as ever.
And here are my little sis, Heloise, and my niece, Philomena. That little one is growing like a weed!
Now I need to talk to you about a serious matter. Just across the big field where I am is a smaller field with a herd of Grand Noir du Berry donkeys belonging to our good friend, Ms. P. They are a critically endangered breed, and there have been less than twenty foals born this year. Four of them were born right here. Now, one of the mama donkeys, called Carmen, is very ill with an illness called Guttural Pouch Mycosis and needs urgent and expensive treatment to try and save her. Ms. P has had a series of veterinary emergencies already this summer and her savings are almost gone. So, #1 has put up a fundraising campaign with GoFundMe. If you can help at all, even a tiny amount, it would make a huge difference. The link is here: https://gofund.me/e53d364d2.
This is the lovely Carmen with her little girl, Pivoine (Peony):
Thank you in advance for any help you can give. We believe in the generosity and kindness of our community!
I hope Carmen receives the right treatment. Such a beautiful animal and a mother at that.

Beautiful photos of everyone. I am sorry Carmen is so ill and hope the money needed is raised. The link didn't work, but by putting it into Google search, it took me there.
