Benny: Hello everyone! Fierce warrior Benkei here! You know where I was, don't you? Hiding under the bed when #1 talked about the vet...
But she caught me, and off we went. I tried to sit really close to her when we got there...
But that didn't work either, and they grabbed me and poked at my ear:
I didn't like that at all! Dr. C said that there were no ear mites but my ear was still very inflamed and there was clearly a bacterial infection. She is now wondering if I don't have some tiny foreign body in there that's causing all this trouble. There wasn't anything she could do with me wide awake. So, they talked with #1 and they scheduled my "op" (what's an op?) for Thursday of next week. Dr. C said that, as I would be under, she could have a really good look and clean out whatever needed to be cleaned out. I hope it doesn't hurt! In the meantime, I have more antibiotics and #1 gets to clean my ear out when it gets too gunky, and puts in drops.
In other news, I have put on 600 grammes (almost one and a half pounds) in the four weeks since I arrived. Nothing wrong with my appetite!
Anyway, that was all pretty exhausting!
we cross all our paws for thursday next week... as hard as we can ;O)
ReplyDeleteI'm sending lots of purrs your way, Benny! I know you will be fine during the op, and I really hope it's helpful.
ReplyDeleteWe do hope that the cause of your ear issues can be figured out, so you can have good clean ears again, with no infection in there.
ReplyDeleteSending pawyers and POTP.
I am sending you good thoughts and hope the vet can find what is causing your ear problems. Maybe the new antibiotics will work better for you.
ReplyDeleteGee Benny, I hope the op will fix your ear problem.
ReplyDeleteThen you can continue to be a lively ,loving kitty :)
Purrs, Julie
Trips to the vet are never any fun. We have our paws crossed that you will get some relief for you ear after your "op".
ReplyDeleteApparently, you were a very good boycat at the vet's office, Benny, and even though there may be scary times ahead, if you stop scratching, then it's worth it!
