Sei-Chan: Gentle readers, we are in shock. All of us. #1 received a note from our sitters saying that they were totally horrified at having to clean six litterboxes (the actual word for word was "We been cleaning shit ever since u left" and that this is taking all their time and making them sick, and it's too much responsibility caring for a sick animal (that refers to putting drops of medicine in my dry food). Anyway, long story short, they are packing their bags and have told #1 that whether she finds someone else or not, they are leaving on Sunday. As I said, we are in shock. Imagine how #1 is feeling, at the other end of the world.
We are hoping that our saviour, the wonderful Mr. G will be able to step in and take over. Please cross your paws he can!
STOP PRESS: #1 just got through to Mr. G and he will look after us. Three cheers for Mr. G!
That is terrible, absolutely appalling! They seemed like nice people too. Surely they knew litter boxes don't magically clean themselves. How can they just say they are leaving without making alternative arrangements. They agreed to do the job so should see it through. I am so angry that they could do this. I wish I lived near you and I would be there in an instant to look after you all. I am so mad that I am in tears about this so poor #1 must be frantic.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mr. G is able to step in right away. I too am totally appalled! What were these people expecting? I've never heard of sitters complaining like that. That's terrible, and I'm really upset all the way over here in Los Angeles about the situation they've put you in.
ReplyDeleteDear God in heaven! That your sitters would actually abandon the cats is absolutely appalling. What is wrong with these people? Well, it's obvious they lack any integrity or conscience.
ReplyDeleteThank heaven for Mr.G, a man of quality and a true friend.
Once again this is proof that animals often behave better than humans
ReplyDeleteAs the world remembers November 11th, why are we still killing fellow humans
The animal kingdom continues to shame our race
Shame on those irresponsible sitters!
Many cheers for Mr G
We are sorry #1 is going through such stress!
Lots of affection from Sami-Chan, Sama-Chan and their Ms L xxx
"F*ckin' idiots!" says dad. Shame on them. The nerve. Three cheers for Mr. G!!!
ReplyDelete#1, I am so sorry that these people have let you down, but thank goodness for Mr. G! If I were near you, I'd have jumped in to help, and hope I was able to meet your 'sitters' as they left and give them a piece of my mind.
ReplyDeleteI came back to see if there was an update and am so relieved for all of you that Mr. G has stepped in. I still can't believe the heartlessness of those sitters.
ReplyDeleteWe do not understand how people could walk out and leave all of you unattended knowing #1 is in Japan !Do they not understand obligation? Did they not understand that you need to be fed as you cannot do that yourselves!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just awful!
Thank heavens for Mr G !! Now there is a stellar human!
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
We're sad to see these sitters have let you down but are thankful that Mr. G can step in and help you all out. Our mom is just shaking her head and wondering what these people thought would be required to take care of 4 cats? If they are cat owners they must not clean their boxes often enough. Our mom wishes she could come over and do the task for you. She would love to get a kitty fix and play with Tommy too.
Bon courage
Natacha
I'm so glad that Mr. G will step in. This is outrageous. Cats need litterboxes and that's what we all do when taking care of our cats. I'm so sorry that this happened #1. The Poupounette Gang is better off without these horrible people (I can't use the word "sitters" because they arent sitters!!). Welcome back Mr. G!
ReplyDeleteWho are those people ? Do they think that you're just stuffies to cuddle ? We have to stop our paws on the keyboard, because they want to type dirty words about your "sitters" ! Paws up for Mr. G, who takes so good care of you all, and who doesn't hesitate to help your #1 ! Purrs and hugs to her
ReplyDeleteHurrah for Mr G ! My goodness ! That is TERRIBLE ! This might be the reaction of people who have NO experience with cats and just stepped in on a lark ! And what about Tommy ? Was he walked ? Purrayers that this will be all right - thanks to MR G !
ReplyDelete????????? What the ??? Something else must have been going on in their lives to have them even think about doing such a horrid thing. We are very grateful for Mr. G. #1 must have been beside herself with anger and worry. We wonder if these were new sitters or someone you have used before. Such a terrible thing.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Oh my gosh, that’s horrible! What is wrong with those sitters? How heartless to be leaving when you are so far away. I’m so glad Mr. G will come to take care of you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to learn this, V. I can't begin to fathom people who would shirk the responsibilities they signed up for and abandon their charges. Bless Mr. G.!
ReplyDeleteOMC! We can't even believe these people would do this. What kind of pet sitters are they? Bad ones! Thank cod Mr. G is available to step in.
ReplyDeleteWTF?!! Someone had to say it. Are these people on drugs? Obviously litter boxes need to be cleaned and the last time I checked it didn't take all twenty-four hours of my day. And then to actually threaten to abandon the cats and Tommy knowing they cannot fend for themselves and that you are a world away . . .shame on them! Relieved to hear Mr.G is stepping in.Now that these people have shown their true colours, are you not relieved they are no longer in your home?! XO
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Well those humans are worthless and that calls for a world wide IDIOT ALERT. Hooray for Mr. G. a real hero.
ReplyDeleteThis is insupportable! Your #1 went through this several years ago as well. I remember it well. A horrible jolt for her so far away and them threatening to leave you unattended. How can anyone be like that? I am appalled.
ReplyDeleteHow horrible of those people. The house sitting service should remove them from ALL possible house sitting. Glad Mr G can fill in.
