Tommy Thursday

Tommy: Woofs, Everyone! I too have quite a lot to tell you this week! When Miss Violette went to see supervet on Tuesday, I went along for moral support. And then, whilst we were there, #1 thought it would be good to ask the doctor to take a look at me as he is an osteopath and has a magic touch. You know I have long had ligament issues and probably now a bit of arthritis too. Soooooo.... he did and he said that I was in pretty great shape for a dog my age(!). But then he felt a bit more closely and he told #1 that I had an inflamed prostate! Can you believe that? Anyway, it means that I am on antibiotics for three whole weeks! #1 said we're really lucky because there are almost no symptoms to an inflamed prostate but she knows someone whose dog had his untreated and he ended up needing a expensive surgery for a perineal hernia1 So, I am being a very good boy about taking my meds!

Here are some pics of me being manipulated and prodded by Supervet (really, folks, this guy is famous!):

Now, I of course am still in very fine form, as can be seen in the following photographs:

And yesterday, Camp Tommy was in session for one day as Mad Fernant's Mum went to Paris for the day:

  3. Sometimes it pays to go with #1 when she is visiting with the Vet.
This time it worked in your favour and we are happy this was caught early.
Now you get to have more fun!

  10. Mom likes to think of our vet Dr. B. as Supervet, but we know he isn't as famous as yours. How wonderful that he gave you a good exam. HOpe those antibiotics do the trick. Enjoy your time with Fernant.
