Mama Tama Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Motherhood is an odd thing, isn't it? When my kits were three months old and three of them went off to other homes, Bibi stayed behind and I made it quite clear to him that he had to grow up and become a strong mancat, without hanging on to his mother's furs. I am glad to say that he has done rather well, with a lot of help from Tommy. However, he has been a little off-colour the last few days, and last night, my mothering instincts came rushing back!

He started by coming up to me as I lay napping in the living room:

He just put his front paws on the rim of the bed and closed his eyes...

Dear readers, what could I do? I opened my paws to him:

And gave him an enormous cuddle!

#1 said he looked so very happy. I hope I made him feel better. And I realised that I will always be my little Bibi's Mama Tama.

As #1 is leaving early tomorrow morning, we will be mostly absent for the rest of the week BUT... it is our little SEI-CHAN's SECOND BIRTHDAY on Friday and #1 has promised there will be a big SEIlebratory post for her!

  10. What beautiful tender moments! Our mum has tears rolling down her cheeks. A little unwell kitty being cuddled by his mum. Could there be anything more touching? When mum saw the first photos she said she was praying little Bibi would be cuddled. And he was!
We are praying for you, little Bibi.

  13. MamaTama what a nice mother kitty you are! Lily wants you to know that she lived with her doggie mother for more than a year after the other littermates left and her doggie mother was not that patient with her! They fought tooth and claw every day! We are glad you take a more kinder, gentler approach with your boy.

  15. Awww....we LOVE cuddle pics. Actually, Tiny was in a rare mood today where she was kissing my forehead, but for some reason when she does it I get all silly and have to give her a little nibble then she hisses at me and we have a little fight and she runs off all mad. What?? You two look so happy and content it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy!!! Moms are good things to have...you are a good mama Tama...and Bibi is a lucky boy to have you all to himself!! AND he has Tom...what a lucky boy he is!! We send you lots of purrs and wish your #1 a safe journey and a quick return and that you all behave and be well while she is away!! We look forward to Sei-chan's seilebration on Friday!! Woo hooo!!! Lautrec, Tiny and Ellwood
