For our morning outing yesterday, we went to the chateau. We hadn't been there in quite some time so it was nice to see the sights and smell the smells again. You may notice that one of my paws is taped up in some of the photos. I got a couple of little wounds on one paw and licked them over and over again to make them better. #1 was not happy with the results, so my foot is in jail. Do any of our friends know of something you can use that will help healing whilst discouraging licking?
We are finally getting sunshine and warmth, and it is very important to find nice cool spots to hang out in when the temperature starts to climb. How about this for a verdant oasis?
Another important hang-out is one's bed(s). I have several. There is the one in the study from where I offer #1 moral support in all intellectual endeavours. There is the one by her bed on which I sleep, and then there is the one on the landing at the top of the stairs for general supervision of goings-on. #1 wasn't too happy with the landing bed and so she got me a new one yesterday. It's pretty nice, don't you think?
And last but not least, I wanted to share with you a recent photo of me and my #1. We don't get too many photos taken of the two of us together, and we really like this one!
Yes, that is a tennis ball in my mouth! The accessory all sporting dogs should carry with them when they go out!
That's a very snazzy new bed. Plenty of room to share with the kitties!
ReplyDeleteWoo - you just about disappeared in all of that grass.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful of you two !!
ReplyDelete(=´▽`=)
Thank you for sharing these happy shots ♪
The picture of you with #1 is really good.
ReplyDeleteTake care of your paw.
Oh Tommy, if you don't stop posting these idyllic photos of your hometown, you'll find our mum knocking on your door trying to move in! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little kitten who used to suckle on my brothers, mum used a product called Wound Guard to try and dissuade me. It is a bitterant spray that the vets give to some patients after surgery if they are licking at their wounds. Maybe your vet would have something simillar?
I hope your foot feels better soon!
-Lishy.
You do look most sporty with your tennis ball. You live near a castle? that is totally cool.

I'm sorry about the ouchies, but that is a furry nice bed, Tommy. It goes well with the surroundings and with your furs. And also it's nice to have a chateau, or at least I think it would be pretty cool. You look most handsome in all your pictures and especially the one with #1. It's so nice to have family portraits like that. It has been most enjoyable to catch up with you with an all Tommy post like this one.

Mum knows through her time studying to become a vet nurse that there is a topical application you can get that tastes nasty to stop dogs worrying at irratated or painful areas.
ReplyDeleteMost pet shops should stock it, but if not your vet should be able to provide some.
We hope the ouchie is gone soon.
nice pikshurs!

Lovely photo of you and #1 - the tennis ball in your mouth is a bonus!! We hope your paw will be better soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your paw, Tommy. We hope some of your doggie friends can give you advice about what to do to encourage healing and discourage licking. We have no idea.
ReplyDeleteWe love the photo of you and your #1. You look very jaunty with your tennis ball in your mouth.
Tommy, our vet likes us to use Gold Bond Powder on booboos to dry them and get them to heal. We don't know if it is okay to lick or not. #1 can find that probably at the chemists.
ReplyDeleteIf the booboo needs wrapping, baby socks make great covers for feet, then have the top of the sock taped so it doesn't easily come off. We tried Bitter Apple to stop licking-but it didn't work.
Tommy we love all your pictures. Hope your feets are better. We use that powder too! Thank you for giving mom an idea to transfer the pictures. Good idea. Have a fun day

hi Tom, that's a great photo of you and #1. of course you look very handsome with your tennis ball accessory. we might not know you without it.
ReplyDeletewe're sorry that you have a wounded paw. we wish we could help it heal better for you. you could probably wear a sock on it and that would make a fashion statement. other than that, we don't have any suggestions. we did hear that playing a running and lots of treats were known to help dogs heal faster. see if #1 agrees.
woofs.
I don't think #1 takes too many photos! It's just been a while since she has had a chance to transfer her library.
ReplyDeleteYour gorgeous photos make me want to visit France!!! Does #1 need a housesitter from California? Some extra kitties visiting? hehehe
Nice bed, Tommy - we bet you get to share it with your cute kitties too.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of you and Mom = she has a great smile. And of course, you have your tennis ball, you can't ever miss out on a chance to chase it.

Hi Tommy! We love Tommyday! Those are all great photos - and your new bed looks so nice and comfy!
ReplyDeleteWe wish we could give you a suggestion for the paw ouchies - we think that wrapping it sounds like a good idea but we know it must be driving you crazy!
GREAT pictures! You live by a castle? How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you are getting out and about at your castle. Nice bed. Bet it is very comfy.

ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! We loved seeing the Chateau again and great to see a photo of you and #1 together as well!
Hope your paw is better soon - I have a really bad habit of licking anything that is sore non-stop and making it worse particularly if I hurt my paws! Murray's Mom would really love to know what to do to stop me!
That new bed looks very comfortable!
take care
