Actually, I need to shout this one from the top of my tree trunk!!!!!
YUU-CHAN IS HOME!!!!!!!!
The 24 hours on the IV drip did him a world of good and he is back to his energetic self, eating and pooping properly, with NO throwing up! The final verdict from Dr. C. was a that he had a bad case of enteroheamorhagic e. coli, with Bibi-Chan having a much milder form of it. The two are on a restricted diet for the next few days (Bibi-Chan is NOT happy about that!) as their insides need to restore themselves completely. And #1 came home with these...
It' a combo of two antibiotics, the big one for Yuu-Chan and the little one for Bibi-Chan, one lot today and another lot on Monday. They already got their injections for today, with #1 pleased she was able to do them without any problem.
Here are the two brothers relaxing together last night:
We girls are still being kept separate from the boy for another few days until everything is back to 100% at their end. But even through the walls, we feel happy that they are better, and can go back to relaxing in the sun!
Having been through a rough week ourselves, we would also like to spare a special thought for all of our friends who are not feeling well at the moment. We are sending special purrs and do hope that you will all feel better soon.
HOORAY!!!!! That is such wonderful news!!!!! Yuu-Chan, we have been worried about you sweetheart, and are so relieved to hear you are feeling better. Purrs to you all :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy Yuu-chan is home and happy both of you are feeling better!! purrs and nosetaps,
ReplyDeleteNiko and Cloud
Can only say how pleased I am to learn that Yuu-Chan is home and getting much better, as well as Bibi. You girls stay well, and continue to look so loverly.

ReplyDeleteWell, that's certainly good news. I'm so glad to see this I just might tell my cat crew about it.
ReplyDeletewags, Lola
So glad our two friends are feeling better! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteGREAT NEWS! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear Yuu-Chan is home and feeling much better and Bibi-Chan is also improving. They'll have so much to tell the girls when they are allowed to join them and of course the size of the needles for their injections will have to have grown to at least 10 times bigger!! Boys always make more fuss.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad Bibi and Yuu are fine. We were little worried and wondered what kind of illness it was that had the both of them so sick. But now everything will be okay again. Thank goodness.
ReplyDeletesan and the amigos

ReplyDeleteHope they continue to get better.
Hurrah! What wonderful news! We have heard of a supplement called FortiFlora that is supposed to be good for kitties with off tummies. It restores the natural bugs that live in the pipes. Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that tummies are on the mend !
ReplyDeleteYay for feeling better. IV fluids get all that icky stuff flushed out.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that they are so much better - it sounded scary there for quite a while!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo, we love good news - way too much sadness around the blog world lately. We ar so happy that Yuu-Chan and Bibi-Chan are doing so much better. Paws crossed for the weekend to continue to show progress and a return to good health.

Sorry we missed you being sick. We would have send purrs. Now we send hurrays instead!
ReplyDeleteAll right! I am very happy you are both feeling much better now. Being sick is No Fun!
ReplyDeleteOK, so I guess one advantage to getting behind in blogging is that you get to go right to the end where you come home and are feeling better. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteWere those needles I saw? EEEE! Mom is brave to give that to you. But nice that you are all hydrated and keeping down your foodables.
That restricted diet stuff sounds grim, but I don't think it will be for long.
Slobbers,
Mango
Just caught up on the adventures for the week! Good to hear it sounds like everyone is on the mend. And I would second the fortiflora...help the longterm recovery there greatly. :).
