Saturday Style

Tama-Chan: #1 has been trying to take some nice portraits of me. She says it's not easy because I tend not to stay still for very long, except when I'm glued to Tommy.

So, what do you think of this?

and a bit of a close-up

Tom: #1 took my portrait too....

In case you were wondering, we're not sure quite what this guy is, but he's been around for a while and he is still whole!

Fun Friday!

Tama-Chan: I have decided to forego my claim to Friday this week so we can tell you about a wonderful surprise! When #1 went to the mailbox, she found a package in there all the way from Canada! The return address said that it came from Goldie, Shade and Banshee! She rushed back in to the house with it so we could investigate.

Inside the package was all kinds of fun stuff!

I just love my bitey/chewey toys!

And Tommy adores his trout:

By the way, don't you think that there is a strange resemblance in their mouths...?!

Oh, and #1 wanted me to mention that even she got a lovely little gift, a pewter sand dollar that made her smile. So, we would like to say a big thank you to our friends for their kindness, and for thinking of us!

Wanna Play?

Tom: Tennis ball, anyone?

#1 got this device called a "Chuck-it" and with it, she can throw tennis balls really far away. It's a lot of fun!

Twosome Tuesday

Tom: We are once again being inspired by our friends over at Cats P for our post, and are doing our own version of their Twosome Tuesday today.

We have had quite a few amazed comments about the way we two get on, someone eve asking if I was permanently on drugs! But NO! It's just that we are so happy to be together that we love to cuddle. It was the same with our brother Sen-Chan, although #1 says that in terms of cuddling HER, we don't even begin to come close. He was a Power Cuddler!

Anyway, whether we're playing...

sleeping...

or just hanging out..

We love being together!

Foggy Ox!

Tama-Chan: First of all, it is my great pleasure to wish you all a...

When we woke up this morning, it was so foggy that we felt as though as were in a plane! Tom got to go out and saw this:

Not that a little fog has ever stopped him from having a good time...

Of course, I don't get to go out, but here is a rather mysterious shot of me:

Rainy Sunday

Tom: It's raining again and there isn't much to do, so we're just hanging out...

Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Saturday Special: Flying Ears!

Tom: So, it seems that Fridays will be forever devoted to Ms. Frootbat, aka Tama-Chan... I of course would never made the cut for Frootbat Friday, but if I really wanted to press the point, I could make a bid for "Flying Friday." As you know, however, I am an absolute gentleman, AND I adore my little sister and would never do anything to hurt her. So I am featuring my very own "flying ears" on a Saturday.

The weather still mostly stinks, although we did get in a walk in the woods this morning. And as it has been very windy, we do get the occasional blue sky effect. #1 took these photos of me with her new camera yesterday, as I romped in the big field.

Frootbat Friday

Tama-Chan: I had such a wonderful response to my first Frootbat Friday post last week that I have decided to make it into a regular thing, Tommy (and his floppy ears...) permitting. So, here is this week's offering:

PS: #1 has a new camera so we are expecting great things from her!

Hanging With the Girls

Tom: It's me again because a tiny little girl stamped her tiny little feet and said that tomorrow is hers, hers, hers (that "frooty" stuff...) and I had to find something fun to talk about today.

Well... the weather stinks. It's not cold and it's not snowing, but it's rainy and windy, really bad for Frisbee play. I seriously considered getting depressed yesterday afternoon, after spending the morning cuddling with Tama-Chan, but #1 had other ideas.

Early afternoon, we dropped in to our neighbour, Ms. N, for coffee, and I spent over an hour playing up a storm with my girlfriend, Damia. She is 8 months old and cute as a button. #1 had forgotten her camera so we will have to show you an archive shot of the two of us together:

And then in the evening, Uncle U came over and brought ViVi with him! She of course is a lady, not a rambunctious pup, but we had a great time sharing treats and hanging out. Here is a picture of her 'Pei-ness, taken around Christmas:

And, in conclusion, I thought you might like a "wet and wild" photo of me!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Tom: It's foggy outside and not much fun...

So, what to do? Any ideas, Tama-Chan?

Ah yes! More cuddles!

Toesday!

Introducing.....

Miss Twinkletoes!

New and Improved.....

Tom: Little Tama-Chan seems to think that I am her bed... some kind of spring mattress...

But I am NOT a spring mattress! I am in fact a new and improved variant. I am a SPRINGER mattress! Tee Hee Hee...... Don't you wish you had one too?

We would like to thank our friends over at Muttallica for giving us this nice award:

We would like to share it with Abby and Stygia, The Four Bs, Isis and Ramses

Together on Sunday

Tama-Chan: As we think of the friends we have lost in the past two weeks, we feel very grateful that we are together, and that we have our #1.

We are also very grateful for all our friends, and would like to say thank you to the newest one, Nessa, for this lovely award:

Nessa is a beautiful young Hovawart woofie who lives in Slovenia. We would like to share this award with Addie & Lucie, Gandalf & Grayson (they are taking a break at the moment and we MISS THEM!), Velcro, and Siena & Chilli

Another Farewell

The spate of departures for the Bridge among our friends continues unabated, and today, we had to bid farewell to our dear friend MADRAC who lived next door but came visiting each and every day, in search of extra treats and cuddles.

Madrac quickly became Sen-Chan's friend when he came to live with us:

As for Tom, she was his nanny, auntie, playmate and role model:

She was a rescue dog, so her exact age was unknown, although it was estimated at 12 or 13. She was beaten as a puppy but was rescued and loved the rest of her life. She suddenly fell very ill on Thursday and had to be helped to the Bridge this morning. There, she is doubtless reunited with the cat, Nounouche. Goodbye, dear friend.

Frootbat Friday

Tama-Chan: I continue to be inspired by my friend Kaze and decided I would try out for Frootbat Friday today as #1 managed to get a nice shot of me with the sun shining through my ears. What do you think? Do I qualify?

Back To the Woods & Kitchen Duty

Tom: I had a very exciting afternoon yesterday as we went for a long walk in the woods with our guest, Ms. A and my friend Pie. It was nice to be out and to listen to the birdsong and smell all those wonderful smells. I LOVE the woods!

Tama-Chan: I have decided that I am now old enough to help in the kitchen and learn some cooking skills. We have friends coming to dinner tonight and our guest, Ms.P, made Tiramisu this morning. With my help, of course...

All that delicious Mascarpone mixed with egg yolks... and then snowy egg whites added. Yummy!!!!!

Did Somebody Say SNUGGLE?

Tama-Chan: In her comment to our post yesterday, our friend Kaze suggested that maybe we could "snuggle up for a bit together." I am still a kitten so I listen closely to the advice given me by more experienced lady cats, and I decided to follow Kaze's advice to the letter!

This was in the afternoon:

and this was late evening:

Thanks, Kaze! You're a pal and an inspiration! And thanks, Tommy! You're a wonderful brother!

And on the subject of wonderful brothers, we decided once again to follow Kaze's lead, and nominated our beloved Sen-Chan for the Best Fur Sibling of the Year award. You can find his entry here. Even though he is no longer with us, we wanted to honour his outstanding kindness and gentleness as our brother.

Tommy Tuesday!

Tom: After days and days of REALLY cold weather and brilliant sunshine, it has warmed up a lot today, but with that has come rain. Boring rain... #1 and I managed to get out to the big field this morning when it was still more or less dry, but it's getting yucky outside and I think I will stay in...

... until it's time for my afternoon run!

Tama-Chan: Can't it be "Tama-Chan Tuesday" too? #1 is saying that I am becoming more cuddly and playful by the minute, but I feel I have to make an effort to keep some of that mysterious wild aura as well, so here is today's photo. #1 says I look a bit like a lion cub in it. Do you think so?

A Surprise!

Tama-Chan: For a while, life was strange and sad. My big brother, Sen-Chan, suddenly disappeared and I felt lost, even though Tommy was very good to me. But our #1 came back on Friday night and with another really nice lady who plays with me a lot (#1: My sister-in-law has come to spend a week with us and is spoiling Tommy and Tama-Chan silly), so I am feeling a lot better and have been playing a lot. I will tell you some other time about some of my favourite toys, but first I wanted to tell you that we got a surprise package over the weekend from Abby and Stygia! We were a bit sad because the kitty gifts were addressed to both me and Sen-Chan, but I promise to make excellent use of them!

This is my favourite new toy, the perfect colour for a little princess!

Tommy got a great gift too and he was so excited!

I have been spending more and more time with Tommy and also with #1 and our guest. It's fun to be with people!
