Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Everyone! As you know, #1 comes to visit me and Miss Violette about every couple of days. When she came on Wednesday, I was still in my box and so she got to witness the "turning out of the stallion"!

As you can see, I was rather impatient to go out:

Ms. C had to stop me a minute, and I winked at #1!

And then stepped on smartly...

...tasting the odd blade of grass on my way!

Did you notice my handsome new red lead rope? A present from #1, of course.

My hay was waiting for me in my field. Really, I have no complaints at all about the service!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Dear Friends! The last few times #1 had come to see me, about the best sighting she got of me was this:

Yep. That's me in the middle behind the trees, where there is the least mud. But when she came on Wednesday, we had had a hard frost overnight and some of the mud had hardened. So, this is what happened:

And guess what? I got a whole, entire carrot and lots of cuddles from #1!

She said she would come again today, but they have been talking snow. I hope she can make it. Hooves crossed!

Let's hope snow doesn't prevent life from going on as normal - Äiti is chuckling away but horrified at how most of the west of England has simply stopped.

Vidock, you DO look more studly than EVER!!! I am not surprised you stopped to wink at #1. She came over especially to see you. And Violette...thank goodness for less mud so that your pretty self stayed relativly un-marred. Of course both of you are glorious regardless and besides, look at it as a beauty mask for your skin. xoxoxox

Oh Vidock, you are looking very manly indeed ! Looks like you are well situated there too ;)
Violette, no need to wait for the ground to harden to come and see #1. You got a carrot, so it is worth it to come closer.
That way we see how lovely you are too :)
Snow is cold ! Not very fun to drive in either :/ Hope #1 got to see you today and not the snow!

WOW Vidock. You are such a big horse. We have never seen horses close-up but we're sure you are quite magnificent. All that space to run in! You're two furry lucky houses.
