Solitary SEIturday

Se-Chan: Dear Friends we have been abandoned! #1 has gone off to Paris for the weekend to see a variety of cousins, a nice exhibition, and eat some food she can't get here, I suppose it's OK for her to have some fun after being sick for so long and what makes it acceptable is that there won't actually be a whole day without her. She is leaving mid-morning today and wil be back early evening tomorrow.

We had one day of decent weather and sunpuddles, so #1 got out her camera. I was enjoying the warmth of the nice radiator seat (those old-fashioned radiators are great!):

Last evening, #1 decided to watch her recording of an episode of the new series of Midsomer Murders, so I watch with her for a bit:

Feline Friday

Da Beebs: Not enough pics of us Chans the last couple of days, don't you think? Actually NO pics of us Chans the last couple of days. The situation must be rectified NOW!

Apparently, it was not OK for me to try some. Stingy #1! 

Da Genj: I had a slightly upset tummy yesterday. #1 has some really good stuff for upset tummies but giving me any kind of medication is a nightmare (the other three Chans take what's given. I FIGHT!). Anyway, she managed to get some down me without to many scratch marks and I am feeling a lot better. And there were some sunpuddles yesterday!

 

Tama-Chan: Can you pipe down? I am trying to get some beauty sleep here!

 

Sei-Chan: Yes. Quiet is a good thing, Boys!

 

Tommy's Towelling Thursday!

Tommy: Woofs, Everyone! Yesterday afternoon, I went with #1 to a meeting at our local castle, Chateau St. Jean (she has meetings in the best places). I had a wonderful time!

 

But, as we were getting in the car to come home, #1 decreed that I was filthy. So, I had to go in the bathtub and got a (warm!) shower and shampoo! Needless to say, #1 ended up "taking one" too...

And then I got towel-dried!

 

And then #1 changed the cover on my LL Bean bed and put on the soft fleece cover. It was almost worth getting dirty!  

PS: After we wrote this post, we got some really sad news. Vidock's little sister, Altesse, ran off to the Bridge yesterday. We don't yet know what happened. She was only five and a half, but we are all sad for our big brother.

Wednesday Whinnies - Who's a Naughty Boy?

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend. It's me, your favourite stallion! Did you see that title that #1, our scribe, put up there? Apparently it's me she is referring to. Can you believe it? Sweet little moi? Apparently, there is a rumour circulating that I have decided that I want to be boss and am being quite disobedient when Mr. JP is riding me and trying to teach me all kinds of things. Well, sure, I get distracted! Who wouldn't? Just look at those two chestnut girls in the next field. I overheard their conversation, for example...

                                  "Would ya look at that hunk, Gertrude? I can see his muscles rippling! 

And that swishing tail! And those eyelashes!!!"

Wouldn't YOU be distracted by that kind of talk? Oh, and there was gorgeous Violette in the other field too... Anyway, Mr. JP was telling #1 about what kind of a handful stallions can be and that it would probably get worse and worse coming up to spring. And please don't listen to any rumours about my being a pest when he is trying to get on me, dancing about and knocking things over. They are just that. Rumours!  I would like to present the following photos as evidence that I am in fact a very good boy:

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: They told us it would snow yesterday but there was none! I do wish they would get their forecast right! The only thing they have gotten right is that it's cold, but #1 says that we can be happy because the price of central heating fuel is half what is was a year ago. Woo Hoo!

So, I have been spending a lot of time napping  This was in the living room, on the back of Tommy's sofa:

 

And here I am, enjoying a bit of bathing in the hammock by the study radiator. As you can see, it's very convenient because all I need to do is reach out my toes to turn up the heat!

 

I'm afraid that's all I have for you this week. #1 blames it on the grey weather which makes it hard to take good photos, and of course the lack of sunpuddles.

Manly Monday

Genji: It's been cold and it's been fairly grey overall, so I have been indulging in the only pastime that seemed fit:

 

Da Beebs: Here I am on the lookout for that black and white intruder!

 

Da Trav: Black and white intruder reporting. I like it here, Brother Beebs, so get used to it!

 

Vidock: I got to go to the woods where I showed off just what an elegant stallion I am!

 

Tommy: And I got to go to the woods with my big little bro!

 Oh and we got some snow a couple of days ago. It's all gone, but they're saying we may get some more today and tomorrow!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I think I shall start off in style this week with this photo of a group snuggle with me, Sei-Chan and Tommy:

#1 and Sei-Chan have been doing quite a lot of snuggling and here is a selfie they took:

 

As you know, we had Fernant here most of the week and he is a major snuggle bunny:

 

We have already mentioned that Genji would snuggle all day, every day if he could. It sometimes gets in the way of poor #1's reading...

This is hardly a snuggle pic but we thought this one of Tommy and The Big V out together for a walk in the woods was rather fun!
