Manly Monday Moves

Bibi-Chan: Do your little brothers always imitate everything you do? They do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but sometimes it can get a little annoying...

So there I was exploring the Balinese fish mobile that hangs above one of the kitchen cupboards:

I am long-legged and sleek and move like a dancer, so even though I was perched precariously, I left everything as I found it. One minute later, a certain Silver Streak decided he wanted to have a go too:

So, how many of those books and magazines do you think were still in place by the time he was done?

It was very foggy this morning and looks like being grey again today. The weather is supposed to improve at some stage but we're not sure when... Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of us in the run from when it was fine last week:

You gotta give it to him. That Genji really does blend in with the natural surroundings!

Tom: Hi everyone! I have been having lots of fun, despite the rain! I made a new friend last week. Her name is Joey!

And, as you know, I don't mind the wet one bit! Here I am, waiting for #1 to throw my Ultra-Ball:

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Vidock: Neigh Everyone! I hope life is treating you well. The grass has been a little wet of late but otherwise, it's all good down here in the meadow!

You see this? We just moved out of that field a few days ago but until then, we had to cross the big water on a regular basis! Scary stuff, you know, but I am a brave boy!

Have a great week everyone!

Soggier Still Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Honestly the rain! You wouldn't believe the volume of water that has been coming down and, as usual, Tommy is ready and willing to go out in it, dragging poor #1 behind him...

Anyway, after the full house last week, I fear that #1 has been back-sliding somewhat so we don't have a whole lot for you today.

Sei-Chan has of course been spending time with Tommy:

I have been spending more time snuggling with #1. I sidled up to her as she was having a nap. That's her under the colorful towel!

Tommy and the Silver Terror have been hanging out...

Here is #1 having a snuggle with our Violette:

And also with Violette's Mama, Hotesse!

We are missing a Beebs snuggle pic again, so here is one of him out in the run, admiring a pretty flower:

No snuggle pics of Vidock either today, but here he is coming over to #1 to give her a smooch!

By the way, our Vidock has a birthday coming up next week! I hate to tell you this but it falls, as all our birthdays seem to do, on SEIturday.... Tho... you can exthpect to thee you know who on Thursday...

SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: Well, the past week has been a really mixed bag weather-wise. For a brief moment, we thought that  perhaps we had turned a corner, and actually enjoyed three days of sunshine. Alas, Dear Friends, it was but a brief respite, and we are back to torrential showers and the odd thunderstorm.

Still, it was lovely to spend a bit of time in the run, sniff a bit of fresh grass...

...feel the sun on our furs...

There were even sun puddle inside!

Ah well. I am crossing my paws that the sun comes back!

Do you think it would help to give the weather a stern look?

Wishing you all a very pleasant SEIturday!

Vidock & Violette's Family Friday

Vidock: Neigh, Everyone! You have of course already met my two brothers, Big Tom and Viking, with whom I share a field over the summer:

Big Tom is the eldest and he is five. That is two whole years older than Viking and me! In fact, Big Tom and Viking are my half-brothers, as we have the same father, but they are full brothers since they also have the same mother.

Which brings me to my little sister, Altesse. I may have introduced her to you before. She is one year younger than me and we have the same parents!

Gotta say that she has done an outstanding job with the mud caking in that photo! She really is very pretty!

Violette: Pretty Neighs! Today, I have some photos for you of my Mama, Hotesse!

Isn't she pretty? #1 has been giving her lots of cuddles. She is now living in the same field I was in, but it's spring so it's warm and there is grass to eat.

Oh, and guess who came to see me the other day?

I always love to see Tommy! And #1 promised that she would bring little Fernant to see me too one day. He is such a sweetie!

Have a Fun Friday everyone!

Thankful Thursday!

Bibi-Chan: Hi everyone! The Beebs here. I am very thankful because I got my very first taste of ice cream the other day!

YUMMY!

Koi-Nobori Wednesday!

Tom: Since yesterday was a holiday here. #1 is feeling a little discombobulated, thinking that today is Monday, but it seems that we are indeed mid-week, Wednesday to be precise.

With the sun finally shining yesterday, we were able to put up our KOI-NOBORI Japanese carp streamers at last. I assisted #1 in the work, of course:

Here is the illustration for the May page from one of our Japanese calendars:

The caption says "The Koi Nobori reach up all the way to the clear May skies"

Koi (carp) Nobori (streamer) are traditionally flown from rooftops in Japan for the "Tango no Sekku" festival which used to be the boys' festival but is now designated as Children's Day, on May 5th. As they swims upstream, carp are seen as a symbol of strength.

We are flying our streamers this year in the hope that all the boys (and girls!) in the household will remain healthy over the coming year.

Tama Chan's SUNNY Tuesday!

Tama-Chan: Can you believe it, Dear Friends? It's SUNNY! This is probably the first truly sunny day in over three weeks! We are all absolutely ecstatic, and we of course immediately headed for the run!

Can you seem me smiling?

I climbed up the tree trunks...

... and #1 immediately rushed over with my hammock!

Oh the feel of the sun on my fur!

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
