Frootbats and Flying Ears!

Tama-Chan: It's Friday again and it has now been a whole week since #1 got home. As you know, we have had a very busy time of it, but Uncle U came by last night to collect ViVi, the kittens and their mum, so it's just us again now. We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

Now, it's me posting again because Sei-Chan has refused to sit still long enough for #1 t take a proper Frootbat photo of her. For the last available one of her, please refer to last Saturday's post. I on the other hand, was happy to oblige:

As I just mentioned, our kitten friends have now gone home, but they were really excellent Frootbats-in-Training, and we would like to have them take part in today's Frootbat Friday feature:

Tom: This is of course ALSO "Flying Ears Friday" and I have a couple of great shots of me to include:

Thankful Thursday

Tama-Chan: Right now, we feel that we have a lot to be thankful for. First and foremost is that #1 is back with us (and finally over jet-lag and sheer exhaustion!). She says she is very grateful to be back with us too! We are also thankful that we ere able to host ViVi and our little kitten family. It has been a lot of fun to have them here!

A grateful me!

A grateful Sei-Chan!

A grateful Tommy!

A grateful ViVi!

And grateful kittens!

We've Taken Over!

The Kittens: Hi everyone! We're the kittens in the back room! We're only here for a few days and we want you to take full advantage of our presence so we have hacked into #1's Mac and we are taking over the blog this Wednesday!

We want to show you how good we are at wrestling:

and playing with our toys:

We love to explore...

Bite feet...

Have a good laugh...

And then all snuggle together in a big kitten pile!

We hope you have enjoyed this introduction to our world. We certainly have enjoyed blogging like the grown-ups! Purrs to everyone!!!

We Have Visitors!

Tom: There is never a dull moment around here! #1 has barely been home a few days, and is totally jet-lagged, and...... But first! Don't you want to see a photo of me and Sei-Chan? Yesterday was Tama-Chan's big day but I bet you missed us! Here we are, doing what we do best, just this morning:

So..... back to the other stuff. We have visitors! Uncle U has gone away for a few days and we are looking after her 'PEIness, ViVi, as well as four very boisterous kittens and their mummy.

I guess that "boisterous" is probably not the word best suited to ViVi:

The kittens are about six weeks old and eager to get in to and on to everything. There are three little redheads (two boys and a girl) and one ruddy boy. They are living in the back room since they are too young to have had their shots yet, and so should not be in contact with the rest of us. #1 says they are absolutely gorgeous and hilarious.

They will be here until Thursday evening and we just have a feeling that #1 is going to be "napping" in the back room quite a bit between now and then...

BIRTHDAY GIRL TAMA-CHAN!

Tama-Chan: Today is my birthday and I am ONE year old! # is saying that she can barely believe it has been a whole year since I was born! Of course, she didn't get to meet me immediately, but this is the first picture she ever saw of me:

I was about three weeks old at the time and she made the decision there and then to come and kidnap me at the first opportunity. Here, I am at about six weeks, in full training for future Frootbat performances:

Anyway, that was all back then. Now I am all grown-up, and here is a photo of me all decked out in my birthday tiara!

My birthday was made very special by the arrival of a fabulous card and lovely gift from my sweet and handsome boyfriend, Misha, all the way from New Zealand:

The fabulous card:

Please note the special "Misha" wrapping paper (and the bottle of rosé Champagne!)

The lovely gifts... including a beautiful catnip-filled mat with
a Japanese pattern, to match my name!

And me admiring them:

And aside from all that, Misha is featuring me on his blog today!

I also got to have an extra long cuddle session with Uncle U who gives the best cuddles ever!

Our friend Ms.N sent me this great gift too!

And Chilli sent me this really funny greeting!

It has been a truly fabulous birthday, not least because #1 is back here with us and we were able to celebrate together!

SHE'S HOME!

Sei-Chan: FINALLY, after an epic journey of almost 50 hours, our #1 got home yesterday afternoon. We were so very happy to see her again! You should have seen Tommy. He was almost doing pirouettes ! We girls are of course a lot more reserved in our show of joy, but we stuck close to her after she got home! Just like glue!

Tommy immediately adopted his gift, which is a sort of donut giraffe!

We got lots of gifts too!

Tama-Chan was running around so much that #1 had a hard time getting a decent shot of her!

Once #1 was home, our wonderful Aussie friends organised a lovely dinner under the stars, with Uncle U who had picked up #1 from the airport and brought her home, and some other friends. It was a really fun homecoming! They are now on their way to Spain but have promised to swing by our place again in September! We just love them! Thanks for taking such wonderful care of us, Mr.S and Ms.S!

Be sure to come and visit us again tomorrow as we will be having a birthday celebration for a certain someone.... A little hint.... "SHE" is turning ONE tomorrow!
