Tommy: Did you get sunshine this weekend? The weather stank here. It was windy, rainy and cold! We did minimal walkies with #1 because it was just too unpleasant. But we did go out dining on Friday evening!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: OK. It's official. The weather is weird. One week ago we were sweltering. This weekend, we are cold! This is ridiculous!

But it is Sunday, and teh focus is on snuggling! I of course snuggled with Tommy:

But I also spent some time with #1 in Bed!

 

Genji spent a lot of time snuggling with #1:

 

 

And Da Beebs insisted on getting his ears rubbed!

 

 And #1 and Violette took a slightly out-of-focus selfie!

 

By the way, the best camera has gone off for repairs again. so #1 is using the second string!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: Greetings, everyone! The first thing I wanted to tell you about is that, a couple of days ago, we welcomed a dear, dear friend among us. Sweet and beautiful JB (Jelly Bean) made her journey just a couple of weeks shy of her 18th birthday. You should see her now. She is racing around, leaping about chasing a myriad red mousies! So many old friends to say hello to. But we know how sad her Mom is feeling right now, and wanted to send her a big rainbow hug.

The rest of us are busy with all our Rainbow activities. I had a chat with #1 whilst she was dreaming and we thought we would try and use photos of all of us from (just about) this day in the past. 

So here first is Sen-Chan in April 2008:

 

As you can see, his right eye is a bit funny. It was damaged as a result of an infection when he was tiny. #1 took him to a veterinary opthalmologist who said he could see fine.

Next is Yuu-Chan looking mellow in the cat run in April 2010:

Last but not least is our Trav right about the time he arrived, in March 2015. He was scared of everything and in not great shape.

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

Da Genj: It is Friday once more! We have had a pretty nice week in terms of sunpuddles although it has been a lot cooler than last week.

Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: Today, I am thankful for friends! You know what? Friends are a wonderful, wonderful thing and I am so lucky to have lots of them!

I have told you in the past about my new(ish) friend Melba. She is a drop-dead gorgeous pittie and #1 says it would be great if we could just steal her and bring her home!!! But she has an owner who adores her, so we have to make do with occasional romps when we are both at Ms. C's, where Violette lives. And #1 bursts out laughing every time she sees this photo:

 

Any idea why?

I also made a new friend last weekend. His name is Noah and he is a cousin of mad Fernant's. He is still only a year old so he is just as crazy as Fernant! Even maybe a little crazier! He is a Beauceron, a French breed of sheepdog:

There is also Chiara who is one of Ms. C's woofies. She is an older lady, but very sweet:

But of course, as you all know, my bestest friend is definitely Fernant!

Let's hear it for a life full of good friends!

Wednesday Whinnies With Violette

Violette: Pretty neighs, everyone! I have had the most exciting few days and want to share it all with you!

A few days ago, #1 and the nice Ms. C brought me out of my field and gave me serious brushies before introducing me to this:

She said it's caled "shafts." She then showed me what that was all about. To be honest, it was quite funny!

 

I watched her closely as she pulled that thing along. I then got my treat bucket and went back to my field. Then, #1 came again on Monday afternoon, and they dressed me up and showed me something a little different:

 

And then, they attached me to it!!!

 

At first, Ms. C walked by me as I pulled it:

 

That was pretty easy! And then she climbed on board!

 

Then we went out onto the lane:

 

Ms. C said I was a real star! After a while, #1 climbed aboard too and we headed back home!

 

I had a great time1 And I got an extra special treat bucket at the end! #1 told me she was really proud of me, and Ms. C kept telling me that I was a beautiful and clever girl!

 

Apparently, it's called "driving."

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Ruffle the carpet? Me? Why would you think that, #1? I know nothing about how it got that kink in it...

 

One can but despair when false accusations are thrown about like that...

 

The news at my end is that I am coughing again, and #1 has had to slowly increase my prednisone dosage again. We still don't know what it is I am allergic to, but there seems to be a lot of it about. I don't know if it has anything to do with being outside, but I do like the cat run this time of year!

 

 

And I also like naps in sunpuddles accompanied by window whiffies!

Da Beebs: Let me start with an unusual "naked" pic of me. I managed to lose my collar whilst #1 was away and it took her several days to locate it and put it back on:

His name is Ronnie and he sticks to me like glue...

 

To be honest, I am beginning to wonder if he thinks I'm his mama!
