Wowie Wednesday!

#1 here. We have a special guest on today's post and her name is WOWIE! Wowie is a Charolais cow. She was named by me after the Wowie Cowie flavour of ice cream at Cow's ice cream parlour in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Wowie is living in the same field that Violette lived in before she joined the Gang. She was with another cow, and two Percheron horses, Violette's mother and sister. The other cow died and the idiot took the horses away to another pasture, leaving Wowie all on her own about six weeks ago. Anybody who knows anything about cows knows that they are herd animals and the most horrible thing you can do to them is leave them on their own. Wowie is a very sad cow, and she spends her days by the gate, hoping that a friend will arrive. Tommy and I have taken to visiting her every day and, more recently, I have been taking her apples which she loves!

Even though her horns are a little wonky, Wowie has a lovely fringe which many girls would be proud of!

We are crossing our fingers and paws each and every day that her owner will bring another cow or cows to the field soon so that Wowie isn't alone anymore. In the meantime, we will keep visiting her every day.

  1. This is very sad for Wowie to be alone.
We hope this is not the same farmer that ignored Violette.
    Poor Wowie looks so forlorn.
Good of you and Tommy to visit her.

  10. Poor girl. And I wonder if the owner might consider trimming that horn before it grazes her eye. You are so good to give her attention. What is WRONG with the person? Violet neglected back then before you, now this.

  11. Pauvre "petite vache". Les gens sont souvent d'une stupidité ! Bien souvent les gens de la campagne encore plus que les autres alors qu'ils devraient savoir.
J'espère qu'elle aura bientôt de la compagnie.
    Bonne soirée

#1 is very kind to visit her with treats, but then again, that doesn't surprise us at all:)

  16. Poor Wowie must be very lonely on her own. That horn looks very close to her eye. We used to have a Guernsey cow who also had a horn that grew on the wrong angle and needed regular trimming. Is there anyone who can be contacted to help her (like our RSPCA)?
She must be very grateful for your visits.
