Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, just like Sei-Chan's post yesterday, this one will be somewhat curtailed. As you know, #1 has been all over the place since her (supposed..) return last Monday and we girls have simply not had the time or opportunity to get comfy and snuggly. The boys, on the other paw, are complete tarts, as you all know, so here are Da Beebs and Da Genj doing what they do best…

Da Beebs indulging in his usual biscuit-making on Tommy:

And snuggled up to #1 for an evening's TV viewing:

Da Genj snuggling up to #1 first thing in the morning:

And in the evening:

Here is Tommy snuggling with #1on the sofa:

And we do have snuggle pics of #1 with the Vs! Here she is first with the Big V, Vidock:

And with sweet Violette:

I suppose we didn't do too badly given the circumstances, did we?

Skimpy SEIturday...

Sei-Chan: No, no, NO! This will not feature pics of me in skimpy anything! It is more an indication of #1's photo-taking since her return. As you know, she has barely been home at all (yesterday, she and Tommy left at 8:30am and returned at 8pm. Sigh…). We have had to survive on scant early morning and late evening cuddles. Of course, when she has been home in the evenings, this is what she has faced:

She has promised us that things will be better starting Sunday (yes, she is out again all day today). So, I hope I shall do better in terms of photos to share next SEIturday. In the meantime, I am having to resort to that terrible old ploy of posting a picture of me when I was a kitten. In this one, I am two months old and seen with my beautiful Mama, Viña del Mar:

Violette and Vidock Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs Everyone! Did you miss us? We missed all of you, and we didn't get to see #1 for a whole eight days. It was really sad, but now she's back. ad she spent the whole morning with us yesterday as the "shoe man" came again.

The weather has been fairly wet, and as #1 hasn't been around to give me regular brushies, I was looking a bit brown and messy when she arrived. But she did give me a bit of a brushing before the farrier started work. It felt so good!

I think you guys all now the shoeing drill by now, don't you?

#1 and I took a couple of nice selfies, but you'll have to wait until Sunday for those!

Vidock: I got brushies too, and I got kisses on my pink spot during the entire time the farrier was working!

And we did selfies too!

Thankful Thursday

Da Beebs: Today, or American friends are celebrating Thanksgiving. Even though it is not a holiday of any kind here in France, we would like to say how very thankful we are for each other, all the love and good things we share, and for all of you, our Dear Friends around the globe.

We are also very thankful that #1 got home from her job a little earlier than expected yesterday, and so was able to at least deal with the bags from England that contained our stuff. I have to say that she totally outdid herself. Here is a panoramic view of the entire stash:

To the left is Tommy's stuff, in the middle is our stuff, and on the right is the stuff for the Vs, the wild birds and the hedgehogs. Here are some more photos

The woofie and the kitty stuff (Large bag of dog food is missing):

A couple of close-ups:

The horse treats, wild bird food and hedgehog food (large bag of peanuts missing):

And here I am, doing some detailed investigating:

Thanks, #1, for always thinking of us!

Wild Wednesday

Genji: PLEASE STAY HOME, #1….

We need to see what you brought us!!!

Tantalising Tuesday!

Tama-Chan: YES, she is back. Our #1 is home!!! This time, she got home a little later than usual because she took a wrong turn along the way and ended up wasting almost an hour. She says it's probably because she was so exhausted from all that power shopping. It took her hours to unload the car but she then said she was too tired to actually sort and put things anyway. So, everything is sitting in the living room in bags and boxes, and we have no idea what she brought us! Even worse is that she left at 8am this morning on a job, and won't be back until 6pm, with much the same scenario on Wednesday, so who knows when the proper unpacking will take place? Ah well, at least, she is here and last night was wonderful, knowing she was in the house with us. She says she missed us terribly.

I am spending the day in the sky hammock in the study:

PS: The whole of this week is going to be pretty crazy for #1, so we apologise in advance for not getting around to commenting properly, as we would wish to do.

We're waiting, waiting, waiting... WAITING for #1 to get home this afternoon!

The Snuggle Archive Sunday

Tama-Chan: Since #1 is away, we thought we would look through the archives to find some snuggle pics of us Chans and Tommy when we were young, and this is what we came up with:

Little me (Tama)

Little Sei

Da Little Beebs with Tommy

Little Genji

Was that fun?

Serious and Sad SEIturday - Goodbye Sweet Nylablue

Sei-Chan: We try to keep this blog as upbeat as possible, but sometimes circumstances simply overtake us. We heard a few days ago that our dear sweet friend, Nylablue, would be going to he Bridge today. Now Nyablue has had serious health problems for quite some time, including diabetes, and her amazing vet , Dr. Dave, and her Mom, Sherri-Ellen, have managed to keep her going and comfortable. But she has now come to the end of her journey, and we want her to leave with lots and lots of good thoughts from all of us at Poupounette Central.

Nylablue, you have always been the sweetest of friends to us here and you always leave such lovely comments. We are glad for each extra day we shared with you. We know how very much your adoring Mom will be missing you, and so shall we. Au Revoir, sweet friend.

Goodbyes are always so hard and somehow, this November is turning out to be a particularly sad month in term of goodbyes. So, remember everyone to love your family with all your heart each and every day. Each moment we share is precious.

Fun Friday

Da Beebs: Why fun you may ask? Well.... we have found out that #1 is coming back a whole day sooner than originally planned! Isn't that the funnest thing? She got an unexpected interpreting job for Tuesday and Wednesday, so she will be back home with us on Monday evening! Of course she will be out all day those next two days, but at least, I can sleep with her!

In other news, you know how they say that it is not possible to train cats? It would appear that #1 has been quite successful at this, at least in the evenings when it is treat time. We all gallop into her bedroom and each of us takes up his or her assigned slot as we wait for the treats to be dished!

Waiting for Sei-Chan to arrive...

Everyone's here, #1!

Less amusing is that we heard from #1 that it's not going to be possible for her to get the car repairs done. The garage needs to get parts which would take several days, and she needs to get back here by Monday evening. So, the really not amusing news is that she will have to go back again, probably sometime in January. Boo Hoo...

Tommy on Thursday

Tom: I agree that we have not had much sun the last few days, but it has been warm, and just look at this pic #1 took of me a few days ago in the fields:

We have been reading about quite a few of our friends across the Atlantic who are already getting snow, so I guess we shouldn't complain…

Today is the least fun day of #1's trip to England as she is taking the car in to get a couple of issues fixed whilst it is still under warranty. The garage is in the middle of nowhere, so she will probably be sitting there all day. She has loaded up her Kindle with good stuff, so she should be OK, though. It would have been so much for her if she had taken me along, don't you think?

Whiskers on Wednesday

Genji: #1 left early this morning and we are bereft…

So, until she returns with the car loaded with goodies for us, we will somehow strive to survive. I shall start by entertaining you with a close-up of my stunning whiskers:

Tama-Chan's Tuesday

Tama-Chan: We are not pleased, Dear Friends. First of all, they keep promising us that the sun is coming back and then they change their minds at the last minute.. Give us back our sunpuddles!!! And then there is the fact that #1 is packing her bags as she leaves tomorrow. We don't want her to go!!!

Here I am last week, napping comfortably in the radiator hammock in the study:

And here is a good view of my jade green eyes:

I don't have anything else exciting and new for you, but I thought I would look back through my photo album and see what I was up to at this time fours years ago, and here is what I found:

Time flies, doesn't it?

Manly Monday

Tomaso: Woofs Everyone! Today, I would like to tell you about my newest friend. I am not calling her my girlfriend because she is not even five months old yet, but she is gorgeous! She belongs to our vet, Dr. C, and her name is Sabba. She is a Dobie, and she is all shades of brown! No black at all!

Because I am such a nice boy, I was invited by Dr. C to come over and help socialise Sabba!

She followed me around like…. a PUPPY!

Genji: I have to tell you, Tommy's (excuse me, Tomaso's) food is often very yummy indeed!

And he is most kind to let me share!

This was one of last week's lovely sunpuddles:

Vidock:  Did somebody call my name?

Here I am, #1, ready for my treat bucket!

Da Beebs: We are a rather strange household in that we have neither smartphone nor tablet. But we do have a laptop which is often stationed on the dining room table downstairs. And it's a fun place for me to play with that fun moving critter inside (cursor…).

Can I help you with your work at the desktop too, #1?

Hoping you all have a great week. we are going to make the most of our #1 until she leaves on Wednesday.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: We have awakened to a rather dull day and it looks like staying that way, although it isn't cold. So, we are resorting to those tried and trusted Sunday pastimes, snuggling and snoozing!

As you know, I do most of my snuggling with my Tommy:

That Beebsy Boy of mine is occasionally a bit of a copycat (haha!):

Although as a whole, he is a total Mummy's Boy and prefers snuggling with #1:

He and Da Genj love to sandwich #1 in bed first thing in the morning:

And Da Genj is always ready to provide his special brand of loving!

Of course, Sei-Chan also prefers to snuggle with Tommy:

But she also likes to snuggle with #1, especially if there is the sharing of a meal involved:

Every morning, Tommy gives #1 a huge snuggle to get her going with her day:

After failing to get a snuggle pic with the Big V last week, #1 managed a selfie with him this week!

Sorry about the rest of his head. You know how hit and miss those selfies can be!

And this week, it is Violette's turn to send everyone a big smooch!

Wishing you all a very Snuggly Sunday!
