Violette Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs, everyone! I have been very busy whilst #1 has been away, going to school and learning my lessons. I have made such good progress that yesterday, under #1's watchful eye, I took an enormous  step forward in my education.

It all started out like a regular training session:

Tra La la la Laaaaaa...

And then, Ms. S and Mr. E came at me with the oddest thing!

It went inshide my moushe and felt mosht shtrange...

But that wasn't the end of it. Next came this:

Apparently, it's called a surcingle. Well, I immediately tried to get rid of it!

That didn't really work out, so I decided to just "tootle" around the ring:

As you can see, I have got the moves!!!

And then, after having a bit of fun, I decided to be a good girl and make Mr. E happy:

I wonder what the next lesson will bring...

Oh, and in case you're wondering about my bro, The Big V, he apparently was good as gold the first time he had the surcingle on. Goody 4-shoes!

This is how he was occupying his afternoon yesterday, whilst I was hard at work...

  3. Glad to see how well your training is going Violette! But that equipment looks more complicated than a leash and collar that we have to wear. Are you going to learn to pull a cart?

  4. WOW, being a horsie is hard work isn't it. i has to wear something like that when I go outside in my harness and leash. It feels funny the first time, but then you get used to it.

  6. It's funny how foolish they can get during training. I remember doing saddle training with one of mine and since she had been near the saddle growing up it didn't frighten her but she had quite a bit of fun trying to get it off before settling down too.

  13. Well Violette, a true lady never gives up her spunk and spirit too easily. It's nice that you want to please but don't let them fan the fire completely out of you :)
Both you and Vidock look wonderfully well!

  16. What a wonderful girl you are, , sweetheart! We are so proud of you! You deserve lots of extra hugs and treats. Now, look at that brother of yours. Nomming whilst you're hard at work! Bah!
Are you being trained for riding or for a carriage or both. We think it would be just lovely driving as small carriage and having such a pretty and sweet girl like you.
