Manly Monday With Tommy!

Tom: It's a gloriously sunny Monday, after a gloriously sunny weekend . #1 and I went for our morning walk around the chateau moat this morning. We're getting back into some of the routines that were broken over the summer. Here I am, at my most sporty and handsome:

Did you notice the rather jaunty positioning of my right ear?

I have some fashion new for you today! We sporting and active males are not usually too much into fashion, but #1 ordered me some very handsome bandanas from a wonderful place called Dog Gone Shopping. They fit over your collar so they stay in place and they come in many different designs! The three #1 ordered are double-sided so it's like having six of them! Anyway, so far, I have tried one side of one and thought I would model it for you today:

#1 got me s special design for Christmas, and one for Valentine's day, so there is a lot to look forward to!

In conclusion for today, here is a really fun photo of me leaping over #1's shadow in the big field!

Sunday Sun With Tama-Chan

Tama-Chan: Yes, yes, I know... Today is Sunday and therefore SNUGGLES Day! But you see, #1 was so delighted with a series of photos she took of me in the run this morning that she decided to share them with everyone. Don't worry, I promise there will be a picture of your favourite "Snugglerati" too!

Glorious sunshine, a cool breeze, blue, blue skies... and a comfy bed in the cat run!

The sky is so lovely!

I wonder if I could touch it...

There goes that sister of mine...

...back to her SNUGGLE buddy!

I hope your Sunday is filled with sun and snuggles!

Sei-Chan on Saturday!

Sei-Chan: Hello everybody. I hope you are all having an excellent weekend! The sky is blue here, and the sun is shining!

First of all, here is a picture of me, ready to blog, camera at paw!

I think I look very professional!

#1 received a belated birthday present yesterday and there were some fabulous ribbons in there, so she said I could have them. They are just perfect for my colouring!

The weather has turned cooler and has been a bit greyer this week, but we have still been getting plenty of sunshine and so have been enjoying our run:

Tama-Chan has of course been indulging in her favourite pastime: playing diva kitty....

And Tommy has also been indulging in his favourite pastimes...

Life is good!

Fun Times on Friday

Tom: Has anyone seen Sei-Chan? Sei-Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan???????

Sei-Chan: Peek-a-Boo! Or should that be Peek-a-Tommy?!

Hey! Tama-Chan! What are you doing?

She's disappeared. Where could she have gone to?

This looks very suspicious...

I think I had better pounce on it!

Oops! I've seen that tail somewhere before... Is that you, Honourable Older Sister Princess Tama-Chan?

Hee Hee Hee...... POUNCE!

Thursday Snooze-Fest!

Sei-Chan: It's grey and a bit rainy for the first time in weeks. #1 is working at home all day again which is something we love. So, we are spending a very relaxing day doing nothing more than snoozing and sending her good vibes so she can get her work done quickly!

I personally am a real fan of "hanging loose"

although I thought I also looked rather fetching against this piece of Indonesian Batik:

Tama-Chan, on the other hand, prefers more traditional sleeping positions:

and she likes to do the whole "Japanese Princess" thing...

I often relax with my Tommy who makes an awesome pillow!

In fact, he is seldom seen snoozing without me around!

Have a relaxing day, everyone!

Tama-Chan on Tuesday

Tama-Chan: As you know, we have been having a very busy time of it lately. One thing we would like to apologise for is slacking in our visits to our friends' blogs. We are hoping that things will now get back to normal and we will be a lot more present! Our friend, Ms.L left today, and #1 has quite a bit of work that requires her to stay home (Hurray!) and sit at the Mac.

Ever since, #1 got back from Canada, we have been meaning to share with you a few pages from a book she was given when she was there, but let's start with a photo of me!

That will set the scene for our book introduction. The work in question is called "French Cats Don't Get Fat" by one Henri de la Barbe (aka Henry Beard). Here is the cover:

The very elegant lady cat who is featured in this book looks suspiciously like me, although I do not recall giving any pawed permissions for my likeness to be used... Never mind. It is rather fun, and I shall paste a few excerpts from it for your viewing pleasure since there are regular comments on our blog about how sleek both Sei-Chan and I always look:

Manly Monday With Tommy!

Tom: It's finally raining and a bit cooler after a lot of hot weather. We are taking it easy over here today because the last few days have seen so much action. Before I forget, I want to show you a photo of my birthday cake:

It really was a great party and I was tuckered out at the end of it!

But we didn't get much of a rest as we were all on duty the next day at the big Percheron horse event that was held at the Manoir de Courboyer. I helped at the Percheron Horse Society stand, as I always do. Here I am with our friend Ms.L:

And in my supervisory capacity:

Last time we went to such an event, there were a few people who were disappointed not to se photos of horses, so we have some for you today.

First of all, there was an amazing man there, Roland Bossard, who trains Percherons for shows. He came on dressed as for the Venetian Carnaval, riding bareback on his beautiful white horse:

and then he removed the reins, so that the horse responded only to voice and knees:

It was absolutely magical!

There were also lots of Percherons there who were being utilised in more traditional ways.

It was a beautiful day and fun to be outside!
