Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Today, we would like to start our SoS post with a very special snuggle. You see, Violette's Mama, Hotesse, gave birth to an adorable little filly on Friday night. Her name is Heloise (#1 was asked to name her)!. And here is a pic of Hotesse snugging with little Heloise!

 

If some of you remember little Ebene from a few years back, Heloise is his full sister.We suspect there will be more photos of Heloise on the blog!

SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Thank goodness it is this weekend and not last weekend, and we can wake up to #1. Although I have to confess that I do snuggle with Mr. G in bed (blush...).

We have had the oddest weather. It had gotten all warm and spring-like and then it got really cold. We have had hail several times in the past few days, even though we are getting some sun too, so I do have a few sunny pics to share with you:

 

 

 

And now, I shall ponder on what is to come. #1 is here for a few weeks but only for a few weeks and then she is going away for much longer. Do any of you have any suggestions for keeping one's #1 at home without resorting to violence?

Feline Friday - the superlative edition

Da Beebs: Have I ever mentioned that I am the most vocal of the Chans? I love to sing!

 

Da Genj: I, of course, am the cuddliest! Nobody who comes into this house leaves without Genji cuddles!

 

Sei-Chan: I am the shyest of the Chans. Some people come and visit and never even see me!

 

Tama-Chan: Sing it loud and clear! "Simply the best! Better than all the rest! Better than anyone! Anyone I've ever met!" That would be me...

Tommy's "Tristesse" Thursday

Tommy: Woofs, everyone. Tommy here. I have been waiting for #1 to return before writing this post with her. Some of you who follow us on Facebook already know this. You may also know that "Tristesse" means sadness in French. You see, my beautiful mama, Minnie, got her angel wings last Friday. It was what we were most afraid of when we announced the loss of Auntie Cora three weeks ago. At the time, Mama Minnie seemed fine but it seems there was a hidden heart issue and she left very suddenly. It was so quick and unexpected that Ms. A and Mr. R are still having a hard time believing it.

I cannot begin to tell you how glad I am that I got to spend that time with Mama Minnie last month, when #1 was in Japan. And I know I have been a very lucky boy. Most woofies never see their mama again once they are weaned and go to their forever families. I got to see my Mama and even my Daddy, on a regular basis. Ms. A told #1 that I gave Mama Minnie lots and lost of kisses when I was with her in March. Maybe I knew something, deep down.

Wednesday Whinnies

Violette: I am happy to announce that #1 has returned! She got up extra early yesterday and managed to get on a train one whole hour earlier than the one she was booked on! She was home before 2pm, early enough that she could clear out the back seat, put Tommy's hammock and toys back in, and then come and see us!

I had been looking out for her:

 

The Big V was interested in only one thing...

 

She brought us back yummy stuff! There was a big box of "Squeezy Buns" and a large packet of "Stud Muffins" plus a bag of carrots and a bag of apples.

 

She did Tommy and the Chans proud as well, and even brought back some yummy stuff for the wild birdies.

 

Welcome home, #1!

 

Tama-Chan's Terrific Tuesday!

Tama-Chan: Terrific, of course, because #1 is coming back today. She says she will be home by 3pm, if all goes smoothly. She did take some nice photos f me before she left. Let me star with this fun one:

Manly Monday

Tommy: I can't wait for #1 to get back tomorrow. She tells me we have several adventures planned for this week!

Whilst she has been away, I have been able to console myself with one of her socks. She threw out this pair because one had an umnendable hole in it and I retrieved them!

 

As you can see, there are still plenty of yellow daffodils around and I can't wait to resume our walks with #1.

 

Vidock: Even when #1 is away,  Mr. JP comes to ride me so I don't get bored (and #1 leaves apples for me!)

 

 

Da Genj: #1 has done a pretty good job of taking sunpuddle shots of me lately! 

An don't you think I look really mancatly in this one?

 Da Beebs: You know they say that we Abyssinians are the sacred cats of ancient Egypt?

With a bit of Fu Manchu thrown in...

Snuggles on Sunday?

Tama-Chan: I would suggest it is a little beside the point to have an SoS post when #1 is away (an SOS post would be appropriate, right?) but she said that we must do our best and show our friends that, in fact, every day is snuggle day! Still, the offerings are few compared to a regular Sunday.
