Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Today, #1 is going to Kyoto and Nara, Japan's two ancient capitals, for a few days. As for us, we are basking in sunshine and warm remperatures. Here is an unusual photo of me having a bit of a lie-down. Yes, healthy horses do like to have a rest lying down!

Today, we thought we would share a photo #1 took of a typical Tokyo suburban neighbourhood, with lots of little shops. This one is called "Gakugei Daigaku" and is close to one of Japan's most famous teacher training universities. As you can see, the shopping area is mostly pedestrian.
Japan is so different from America - my human said the one time she went there, it was the one time she really felt like a foreigner! She would love to go back with somebody who was more familiar with it - and who could help her with the street signs. She was constantly worried about getting lost!
