Thankful Thursday - Violette's Third Gotcha Day!

Violette: Three years ago today, I was loaded in a van and went to start my new life under the care of #1. I actually tried to move into Poupounette Central...

 

But #1 told me the rooms were not really designed for a big girl like me. So I got in the van:

 

And I found myself in a place that was totally different from the field I had been living in:

 

You have no idea what it feels like to lie down in a sunpuddle in fresh straw until you try it!

 

I made friends for the very first time!

 

I found out about spa treatments:

 

I started going to school:

 

And eventually, #1 started to ride me!

 

Since I first left my field, I have lived in three different places in three years but, through every move, #1 has always been with me and made sure to tell me she loved me and I was safe.

 

 

 

I now share my field with another Percheron mare and six Arab mares, and #1 hopes I will stay here for a long, long time:

I have just started working with a new trainer, a wonderful gentleman who specialises in the Spanish working style of Doma Vaquero. Both he and #1 have great hopes for me! In the meantime, #1 had a bit of fun with Photoshop and made this "painted" portrait of me out of a photo:
