Tom: Woofs Everyone, Tommy here! A couple of days ago, whilst on our late afternoon walk, #1 saw me rolling in the field some distance from where she stood. She told me to stop, and then we went home. Once we were inside, she noticed that (1) I was looking rather browner than usual and (b) there was something of an aroma about me. She tried to deal with the issue with the spray-on waterless shampoo but to no avail. So, this is what followed:
Yes! The Dirty Beastie shampoo came out and I was shampooed thoroughly. Mercifully, that was followed by this:
Just to show I don't hold grudges, I gave #1 my best smile yesterday:
And my best flying ears too!
Sorry it's a bit blurry. Action shot, you know...
Tommy, all I can say is I am glad I was not you!
ReplyDeleteWell a bath wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the water!
ReplyDeletePlease excuse us if we hold our noses Tommy.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Tommy you are equally as handsome both before and after your bath!
ReplyDeleteWe are often dirty beasts as well Tommy ... so we feel for you! Ahhhhhh...the dreaded tub! ;p

Ah Tommy, I fink I told #1 that when mom had Jack, a red hunting woofie, he used to go up to the pastures not too far from her home, and roll in the cow pies. WHEW!!!
ReplyDeleteVive ... les chats !
ReplyDeleteTommy tu es bien un chien toi. Quand on fait des bêtises après il faut assumer !
Ca me rappelle la demoiselle Laïka qui appartenait à mes parents. C'était sa spécialité à chaque we. Les retours en voiture vers Paris .... beurk. Arrivée à l'appart c'était baignoire et c'est moi qui était de "corvée".
Bonne soirée.

BOL - our first Golden was very astute about finding the absolutely smelliest thing possible and rolling in it before we had a clue what was going on.

well there is another reason to avoid the "great" outdoors... :) but we know you have fun out there Tommy!!
ReplyDeleteWe have sometimes a kind of country smell, but not to a point when a bath is needed. Purrs
ReplyDeleteLike Sparkle, we are glad it was you having that bath ;)

Sorry you had to endure the dreaded bath! It was nice of you though to not hold a grudge.
ReplyDeleteDid you find some stinky poop to roll in? Cats are supposed to hate getting dirty, but Eric had a thing about pheasant poop and used to rub his face in it.
ReplyDeletedid you get into what mum calls manure?
ReplyDeleteMy poor hairy slobbery sister Bob has been getting LOTS of baths lately, not from what she has rolled in, but because it is so furry wet and muddy. Yous is MUCH better in the bath than she is!
ReplyDeleteKisses
