Shining Prince Sunday - GENJI'S SECOND BIRTHDAY!

Gen-Chan: Today is my second birthday and I am so excited to celebrate it with all of my family here at Poupounette Central, even though Tommy and #1 will only be here morning and evening as they are going off to a family lunch near Paris.

I told #1 that I would be happy to write my own post so I could tell you about myself, so here I am!

This is the first photo #1 saw of me, when she contacted Ms. S, my breeder:

And another one:

I was just two months old at the time. #1 had originally been interested in my brother, Grand Trésor, who is a fawn Aby. But Ms. S told her that I would probably be better suited to a large family like Poupounette Central because I was very outgoing and playful. #1 has always been good at listening to breeders and she decided to adopt me (GT still lives very happily with Ms. S!).

As soon as I met #1 at the airport in Paris, I started to make biscuits on her!

When we got home, she put me in a separate room for the first few days, and she slept with me the first few nights! There were some great toys too, and I settled in pretty quickly!

The first "Other-Chan" I met was The Beebs and it all went pretty smoothly:

The girls were pretty cool with me too, but I have to confess that I was a little scared of Tommy! There were woofies where I was born but they were whippets. Tommy was HUGE!!!

Mg Big Bro The Beebs taught me all about the run

And it didn't take long for me to realise that Tommy would be one of my bestest friends!

Here I am at six months:

Hangin' out with The Beebs:

One year old!

15 months old:

18 months old:

Snow Boy Genji at about 22 months:

And here is my official SECOND BIRTHDAY portrait!

I love my entire family and everyone who comes to visit, but I have to confess that I have two favouritest people in the world.

My Buddy Tommy:

And my #1:

My special thanks also to The Beebs for being such a great bro and playmate! Even though he is bigger than me, I still steal his food!

We are holding an open house all day, so please transport over to help us celebrate!

SEIturday Spring Snow!

Sei-Chan: Dear Friends! We are now ten days into spring, right? So, could somehow explain to me this photo of Tommy on his morning romp today?

This is just plain wrong! We are making sure that all our little birdies, and Rufus, are fed, but what about our little spring flowers?

Needless to say, there is only one thing to do in response:

But I am of course still keeping an eye on #1 and crossing my paws that the sun will come out this afternoon as promised.

Oh, and before I forget... Please join us tomorrow as we celebrate a certain Shining Prince's SECOND BIRTHDAY! #1 and Tommy are going off to a big family lunch, so we Chans are holding a mega party here!

Friday Frootbats and Flying Ears

Vidock: Neighs, Everyone! We're happy to give up our monopoly of Fridays now and again, but it's also nice to have pride of place whatever the feature is, don't you think? And, after all, Violette and I do pretty well in the Frootbat category, right?

Here is Violette showing hers off:

And here are mine for your viewing pleasure!

OK, so they're a bit "mane-blown" and muddy, but that just adds to my charm, don't you think?

And now over to the Poupounette Central crowd for some "ChanBats":

GenBats!

Glowing BibiBats!

Sleepy SeiBats

Some pretty cute TamaBats:

And could this be a RufusWatchBat?

Last but not least, Flying Tommies!!!

Tommy on Thursday

Tom: As you know, I love to snuggle and play with my kitties, and I often have great times with my little bro, Genji. #1 put one photo of our recent play session on the blog earlier this week. Here are a couple more:

That boy really know no fear!

It has actually been dry the past few days, but so very cold. #1 keeps saying that it's not right to have to go out at the end of March wearing full "winter armour"!

Of course, I warm up pretty quickly with all the running I do!

After which I get to relax with my bro!

I would say that life is pretty good for me, Tommy, and I am very thankful for that!

Whole Family Wednesday

Anyone with more than one or two furries knows the difficulties of trying to get a picture of the whole family. They are rarely in the same place at the same time. But we had such an occasion at Poupounette Central a few evenings ago, and fortunately, the camera was at hand!

We have The Beebs nearest the camera. Mama-Tama on the green blankie, Sei-Chan in the cat bed, Tommy on his sofa and little Genji tucked in between Tommy's hind legs!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Yoo-Hooooooo! Can you see me?

You know I am a bit of an acrobat, and from the time I was fairly small, I have always loved to climb up here! You do get the most splendid view and it really is a perch fit for a Queen!

Needless to say, my very presence makes any perch quite regal. Don't you agree?

Of course, sometimes one has to share, as when we are all on Rufus-Watch:

Or when one is having a little snooze-fest of an evening...

Our weather has been a little drier the past few days, although it is still very cold for the season. The other evening, there was a spectacular sunset and #1 was able to spot a dragon rising into the clouds!

Manly Monday

Bibi-Chan: Hi everyone. The Beebs here. I hope you are ready for all the manliness we are about to throw your way...

Hah! Caught you!!!

Actually, we have had some nicer weather this past week and one day, #1 actually opened the window in the kitchen!

Genji and I had the best time!

GENJI: I have also been having a great time playing with Tommy!

And I've been busy helping #1 with work and blogging...

Tom: #1 broke open a new Frisbee! It's the first time we've played with a frisbee for ages! Fear not, I had not lost my touch (even though she didn't manage to get any pics of me catching it).

And yesterday, I spent a good chunk of the afternoon playing with Harley!

Vidock: Pssstttt, can I interest you in some mud?

Just kidding. I'm still as cute (and studly!) as ever!

Mr. Doe-Eyes, they call me...
