Wednesday Whinnies

Violette: #1 finally came to see us on Monday. It had been a while, and we had missed her. She of course arrived properly armed with carrots and apples! We all got our share. It was pretty grey when she was here but we're crossing our hoofs that it will be sunny next time she comes!

Here, I am:

And The Big V:

And Heloise and Philomena, using young Phileas as a resting block!

We wish all our friends a lovely Christmas Eve.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, DearFriends, and welcome to my last post before Christmas. To be honest, I thought it might be my last post altogether, but I seem to have gotten my mojo back, so I hope to be with you all a little while younger.

I continue to keep #1 on her toes when it comes ro my meal service:

And, as you can see, I am now wearing my Christmas collar:

I have a couple of Christmas tree pics from before I put on the collar, though:

Here I am with the cute little light-up roundabout that goes next to our horseshoes tree:

And here it is in place! That horseshoe tree was made for us by a good friend in England who breeds Percherons and is also a farrier. We love it!

Hoping to see you again next week!

Manly Monday with Momo

Momo-Chan: Hello, everyone! How are you all doing? We've been enjoying our Christmas tree here and #1 says we've been really good about it. However.... Queen Tama hinted at it in yesterday's SoS post, but a certain little dragon has not been good at all... You see, he managed to get out Saturday afternoon, probably from the cat run (#1 will be hunting for the exact location today), and he stayed out all night, only returning first thing on Sunday morning because he was very hungry. Fortunately, it's not that cold out at the moment, plus we have boxes at the back of the garage that are filled with hay, so he did have a safe and dry place to rest, even though it was raining. #1 says there are definite echoes of "Houbibi", our Beebs who was an exceptional escape artist. Ryū is now grounded for life and none of us got to go out to the cat run yesterday.

As you can see, the little dragon was not looking particularly contrite:

Benny was a very good cat, on the other hand, and did everything he could to comfort #1 through the long and restless night. He now has several gold stars to his name!

As for me, well I really missed my little bro when he was gone!

Ollie is looking forward to dryer weather later this week, so he can run in the fields again!

#1 wasn't able to visit the horses last week, so we have no fresh pics of The Big V, but she's going over there today, so there will be more soon!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: It's the last Sunday before Christmas, and it's a very grey day outside, but we have been told that we may get some snow on Christmas Day. #1 is not going anywhere, so it will be nice to be cozy inside together!

With the usual seasonal busyness, plus that little Dragon giving everyone here a scare last night (more on that in tomorrow's post), we have a somewhat curtailed SoS post today. I'll start with one of me and #1:

Benny the Black is always at his usual post on #1's lap in the evenings:

And he has been doing his share of snuggling with Ollie:

Little Dragon Ryū has been snuggling with his horsey friend in anticipation of it being the Year of the Horse next year:

And Momo has also been snuggling with Ollie, of course!

We wish you a quiet and uneventful Sunday!

Sitting Saturday

Momo-Chan: I love to sit under the Christmas tree. The lights are so pretty!

Fine Fellow on Friday

Ollie: Woofs, everyone. #1 is pretty busy getting her holiday mail done and shipped out, and since we did not have a Woofie Wednesday post this week, she said we could do a post today with just this one rather nice photo of me she took yesterday. I hope you like it.

Thankful Thursday

Ryū-Chan: Hello, Everyone! Your favourite little dragon here! #1 said that, as I have been a (fairly) good boy this week, I can post today. Here I am, looking cute on the radiator in the kitchen. #1 said to apologise for the state of the radiator which is in bad need of a lick of paint!

I am thankful for the nice warm place to nap!

We boys all love our crunchies and we are thankful for the lovely Christmas bowl that #1 has for us!

Queen Tama eats mainly soft food, so #1 got her a little Christmas bowl!

Even though they don't actually live here, we never forget our horsey family, and here are the "wreaths" we have on our front door:

#1 was also pleased to see these guys the other morning. It's not the best photo as it was taken on a grey day with a super zoom, but we like it!

We are thankful they have managed to stay safe so far during hunting season.

Wednesday Wonderland

Benny: A few people have expressed some curiosity about our Christmas tree, so we decided to dedicate an entire post to it and our individual decorations. The tree is sourced locally and grown in a neighbouring farm.

Let's start with the tree:

As someone suggested, every decoration has its own story. And #1 likes to buy something new each year. She also makes sure that all of us have our own decorations. Needless to say, the first one to go on the tree this year was Tama-Chan's. She has had it since the year when she climbed the tree as a kitten.

Ryū also got his own decoration when he arrived:

Ollie has two of them!

Mine is in Spanish for some reason!

Here is Momo's:

We have two of these, one for each of the Vs:

And here is Heloise's (shared by Philomena):

And here is one of the new decorations for this year. Remember that #1 visited the Kelpies in Scotland back in July?

#1 also managed to get photos of us kitties admiring the tree (you saw Queen Tama's on Tuesday).

To close, I want to tell you about a very special ornament dedicated to me. It doesn't go on the tree because it's big, so it hangs from the ceiling. Isn't it great?

We do have another, much smaller, tree made of horseshoes by a good friend in the UK who is a farrier. It only has horse-related ornaments on it. We haven't put it up yet, but will share it once it's in place.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, everyone, and a warm welcome to all of you. Our Christmas tree is up and #1 even managed to get a photo of me in front of it!

A promise is a promise, right? I promised you last week that I would ask #1 to look for photos of me climbing the tree when I was a kitten. I am happy to say that she came through, so here are the pics:

Oh to be that young and lithe again!

Still, I cannot complain. Life is good forme at the moment. I continue to demand my regular meals:

I also help #1 with her meals when I can:

And I assist with any computer work that needs doing:

I attend to my bathing:

And I do, really do, enjoy my heated bed!
