Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: We actually had rain yesterday for the first time in a very long time! The snails were out in force afterwards! But the good weather is now back for the rest of the week, so we will continue to enjoy the run. Did I happen to mention that there was  major abandonment by #1 in the works? Yes. She is leaving us on Saturday and flying across the Atlantic to attend the World Percheron Congress in West Springfield, Massachusets. We have a nice retired couple coming to look after us, but she will, as usual, be missed. Hopefully, she will also, as usual, bring lots of gifts back!

Now let me se… Let's start, shall we, with a little gentle tail dangle:

I did make the most of the sunpuddles by the kitchen window last week:

How about a nice portrait?

Smiling at the lizards!

And annoying little brother getting ready to spoil my good time…

Ah well…

Manly Monday

Genji: We would like to start today's post by sending lots of healing purrs to a very special mancat. Our good friend Flynn has been feeling very poorly and his family is terribly worried. We are sending the power of the paw across the Channel and may we ask you to do the same, wherever you are?

I know that #1 said that I am hard to photograph when I snuggle, and that is also true when I play, but I do sometimes rest and THAT is when she gets her chance. Behold!

My sultry look:

OK, so this is a back view, but look at how elegantly I am tucked in between the back of the sofa and the cushion!

In this one, I am ready to play!

Please, #1, will you play with me?

Vidock: I got more visitors! This time, Percheron-owning friends of #1's from England came to see me (and Violette too…). Mr. J (and Ms. R) thought I was extremely studly and handsome!

I also got a visit from one of my favourite people, Ms. T, who is a little bit like my Fairy Godmother, and I was sad to say goodbye to her. She is returning to California for the winter months. See you in the spring, Ms. T!

She is really going to miss me too, don't you think?

So here is a special smooch just for you, Ms. T!

Tomaso: I have been doing a lot of this standing about lately. Want to know why? It's because #1 has been spending so much time gathering hazelnuts for our red squirrels! She is getting really good at it and now bags about half a pound at each outing!

In the mornings, the fields are usually quite wet! I keep hoping that #1 will throw me the ball, but she only does it a few times now. She keeps mumbling about my ligaments. I am NOT limping anymore!

Hey, do you like my right ear flip?

And here is my sultry portrait…

Da Beebs: So what's this with sultry portraits? I don't have a sultry portrait for you, but I do have a "very intent portrait"!

#1 could never figure out what I was looking at!

In a variant here is a watchful Da Beebs portrait!

And here is a contemplative Beebster portrait:

Are you done, #1? I think it's time for my nap…

Here is wishing you all a good week.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: We were very saddened to wake up today to the news that our good friend Stran, from Pikku Punappipuri, had had to be helped to the Bridge yesterday. Stran was a real giant among cats and we can but imagine the pain and loss his family is feeling. We all bows our heads in respect, and will follow his Mum's advice to share the love, as we do every Sunday. Run Free, Stran. The Bridge is an even better place for your presence.

And we have been snuggling. I of course have been snuggling with Tommy:

And with #1 too:

Here is a somewhat blurry pic of my Beebs having a snuggle with #1:

And making his usual biscuits on Tommy:

I should also mention that, now that it has turned cool, my Beebs is back "undercover" with #1 at night:

Not to be outdone, Sei-Chan was snuggling on #1's bed this morning:

And she has of course been snuggling with Tommy!

Genji is really hard to photograph when he is snuggling because he barely ever stops moving… So, this is the kind of result you end up with:

And here is one of Tommy giving #1 her morning snuggle!

And a selfie of her snuggling with The Big V!

And with Violette:

Always remember! Sundays are for Snuggling!

Still So Sunny SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: Dear Friends, I really don't know how much longer this sunshine can last… Sometimes, we worry a little that we might be using up our quota of good weather for the next six months. But what can you do? Carpe Diem, right?

So…. Here I am, combining entertainment and a sunpuddle:

Close-Up:

Supervising from the kitchen condo:

…but occasionally distracted…

Supervising #1 from the basket above her desk:

And, last but not least, #1's latest "through the cat flap" masterpiece!

Have a wonderful SEIturday!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Neeeeighs?????? It's already Friday? Were has the week gone? What have you all been up to? I have done….nothing other than eat, sleep and romp in my field! And share the occasional cuddle with #1. Oh, and I mentioned it on Monday, but I also had those great visitors from California. That was fun!

#1 is always looking after me, and here is a photo of her scraping bot eggs off my leg. Those nasty flies lay yellow eggs on our legs. If they are left to hatch, they can cause pain and irritation, so #1 spends time removing as many as she can with a special knife:

And here s a mice pic of me walking along whilst having a chat with Mr. C, Da Boss over where I live. Mr. C told #1 that I was a very good boy and didn't really need to have my headcollar put on until I got to the gate, and I obliged!

And here I am, throwing a nice tail swish as I posed for #1 next to my water container:

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Do you like my latest portrait?

I got my bot eggs scraped off as well although #1 says they are a lot harder to see on me given that I have a white coat and the eggs are yellow. I also got a new hoof shine:

And I would just like to say that I do NOT think I have a big bum!

Thankful Thursday With The Chans

Genji: As the evenings draw in and it gets cooler, we are all thankful for our warm and comfy home and the fact that this is how we spend our evenings:

We also wanted to mention that we have a fellow blogger who is in dire need as circumstances have put her close to losing the home she shares with her animals. If you can help in any way, please take a look here. Nobody should ever find themselves in such a situation. Please help if you possibly can.
