Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! We have been getting scary reports of the weather in so many places, so we hope that all of you are safe, dry and warm.
I thought I would give you a little update on my situation. I have been boxed since last Saturday so that my feet could stay dry whilst the treatment for mud fever was being applied. I have to confess that, even though I am a studly stud, it has not been a bad thing to be indoors this week. The weather has been pretty nasty, with storms and lots and lots of rain.
#1 has been applying my treatment regularly and yesterday, Ms. S came to see how I was coming along:
Apparently, I am coming along really well, but Ms. S decreed that I should probably continue to stay indoors until around Wednesday next week. So I was able to go back to munching my hay:
Oh, and guess what? #1 went to see my Mummy, Jessy, just after that and Mummy said to tell me to be a good boy:
But I'm always a good boy, Mummy!
Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Despite the terrible weather, I have been outside with the girls, although we do have a shelter from the wind and rain when we feel like using it. #1 has managed to get me out for a good groom several times this past week:
She says next time she goes to England, she is going to bring back some good stuff to take away those stains, so my coat will be shiny clean again when the weather improves! Thanks, #1!
That's' my vamp picture, by the way...
In the meantime, I think I need to work a little on the art of untying knots. Not that I am trying to become a Hou-Violette or anything…
And, by the way, #1, you need to call the farrier soon. I only have one shoe left!!!
Oh, and I should perhaps elucidate further my comment yesterday concerning getting back to "work" as some of you seemed a bit concerned. Don't worry, Dear Friends. #1 is not sending me to the mines! I meant work as in being ridden and other stuff I can share with #1. Fun stuff!
Happy Friday, Dear Friends! And I almost forgot: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Vidock, we purr your feets are better soon, though it looks like you do not mind being inside for a bit :)
ReplyDeleteViolette, you look lovely even with a few stains. Your face is so pretty :)
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure,JJ
and Angels Tiger and Tillie
Being inside must be restful for your feet Vidock but we are sure you would be running like the wind after Wednesday. You are a lovely horse Violette.
ReplyDeletehappy valentines to you too... we love you and think you are so gorgeous. Sorry to scare you with our 'over the rainbow' reference, we forgot what it can also mean.... anyway, its lovely to see you all looking so well. Lovely to to visit you, Helen, Darcy, Bingley xxx
ReplyDeletehappy v day to you too!! mom says she knows how big you two are but it is still startling to see someone next to Vidock for perspective :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to read that your foot gets better, Vidock. You won't miss the stormy weather being inside, won't you ? Gorgeous vamp picture Violette ! Happy Valentine's Day to all the Poupounette staff : you're the best at "love and snuggles" sharing that we know ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteGood health to you, manly Vidock! And Violette, you are so fetching in your vamp pose.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day! Headbutts all around.
Vidock it is so good to hear that your leg is improving - now keep being that good boy and you will be out running free soon.
ReplyDeleteViolette - we don't think #1 needs another escape artist so just leave those knots alone and be a good girl like Vidock.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Hugs and Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
My human thinks her work is fun too, Violette! Take care, you two, and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am glad your hoof is on the mend! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteI am glad your feet are getting better Vidock.
ReplyDeleteDo you go in the shelter Violette? The silly horses here would rather stand out in the wind and rain and look miserable even though they can go in whenever they want to. The only time they go in the shelters is in the summer when the flies are around.
We hope you're better soon, Vidock. And Violette, we like how you learning to untie knots. Purrty cool!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day you two loves! Vidock, um, Jessy knows you...just saying'. Violette...where in the world are your shoes going?
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine sDay to the whole crew and especially to Violette and Vidock on the big V day!
ReplyDeleteAnd yous guys both looks so happy and and healthy!
kisses
Nellie
Happy Valentines Day to all! Good news Vidock! We're relieved to hear you are healing. It never hurts to stay warm and dry in cold, rainy weather.
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you were able to visit
your mum. We know you are a good
boy. If one is treated with love and
respect , one gives love ad respect in return.
Violette are you keeping dry
sometimes as well? Staying warm
and nomming sounds pretty good to
us.
