Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: It is a warm and somewhat sunny day and Uncle U is coming over to work on our cat run with #1 - a truly excellent way for people to spend their Sunday, don't you think?

We of course have a full schedule of snuggling to keep us busy. My little sister has continued to work on her total conquest of Tommy (or is it the other way around?). I have some pretty incriminating photographs to show you:

Needless to say, I have been getting in my Tommy time as well:

That woofie is getting to be a pretty busy boy!

And Sei-Chan and I have also been getting in our share of snuggling:

You will notice that, in her usual style, she is actually draped over me. Sisters...!

Tommy would like to thank everyone for their concern. His paw is much better. He did twist a toe and also split part of the nail, so he got an antibiotic shot and some delicious pills. He is not supposed to jump for a few days, to avoid more hard landings, but getting that message across to him is something of a challenge...

We hope you all have a relaxing and snuggly Sunday!

Saturday with Sei-Chan and a Farewell

Sei-Chan: Hello everyone! Thanks for all the nice comments on how fast I'm growing! I'm enjoying my increasing athletic ability, and also life in general. #1 says that I'm a very "Paws On" kitten, who likes to be involved in everything.

I would like to tell you about what I consider to be a perfect day. Firstly, it is always a good idea to stretch first thing in the morning, and a woofie brother is a very useful accessory in this:

Once I've finished my stretches, I give Tommy a quick cuddle to say thank you:

The day is spent in fun and games with my sister:

and we are both very diligent about helping #1 with her work:

Where is she supposed to sit? Well that's a person problem, isn't it?

And at the end of the day, I like to curl up on #1's lap for a well-deserved nap and cuddle:

Now, on a much less joyous note, #1 has asked me to be the one to bid a fond farewell on behalf of all of us to a good and dear friend who went to Rainbow Bridge on May 31.

FITZROY was a very handsome grey kitty who was adopted by Ms. J in Prince Edward Island (Canada) in 1997. He lived a life of great comfort and love with his sister, Bitz, being admired by all and sundry and occasionally agreeing to a cuddle or two. But then his body turned against him and he suffered from a variety of thyroid, respiratory and renal problems, and simply could not fight it all anymore. We never knew you, Fitzie, but #1 was very fond of you, and we would like to send our most heartfelt condolences to Ms. J and Bitz. We know he is in great company at Rainbow Bridge where Sen-Chan led his welcoming committee.

Flying Ears Friday!

Tom: Yay! I get to headline Friday's post this week! Maybe #1 is feeling a little bit sorry for me as I have to go and see Dr.C this afternoon. I am limping a little and she thinks I may have sprained a toe on my front left paw. It's not stopping me from wanting to run and play, though... She says the most difficult thing with me is trying to keep me still...

Back to Flying Ears. This is a new "one-ear" style:

And we also have the traditional "double-ear" style:

Of course, Friday would not be Friday without a Frootbat or two, so here are my two little sisters, doing what they do best!

One Frootbat flattening another in her eagerness to get to the open window:

Tama-Chan on Thursday

Tama-Chan: Following the appalling weather of the last few days, culminating in monsoon-like rains yesterday afternoon, I am happy to say that it is dry today, with even a hint of blue sky! The flowers outside definitely need to dry their petals a bit!

As you can imagine, no progress has been made on our cat run so far this week, so I have been developing indoor activities, and have decided to take up yoga. My little sister can be a little exhausting at times, and I need to be able to relax. #1 tells me I already have pretty good style...

Other than that, I do spend a great deal of my time educating and minding my little sister. We look out of the window together, and I tell her about the various birds:

We spend a lot of time just hanging out together but she has this habit of somehow sitting on top of me. Look:

There are quite a lot of us in the CB/DB at the moment with younger siblings and I think we are all in a similar boat. But #1 keeps saying how lovely we look together, with our different coat colours, and she took this photo yesterday to prove it:

Wet Wednesday

Tom: It is pouring with rain, the kind of rain that falls steadily, and falls, and falls..... #1 is feeling miserable, although I don't really care how wet it is. I look handsome in all weathers!

And I love being towel-dried!

And the girly-girls always stay home and dry anyway! They can get their exercise without getting wet.

When they're not busy blogging, that is...

"Tummy Toesday"

Tama-Chan: It's "that" day of the week again and we have been looking through recent photos, trying to decide what to put on show today. We decided we would start with a tummy theme. Now, as you know, I am a very shy girl, so I don't often expose myself to the world at large, but #1 did manage to catch me the other day in a slightly compromising position:

My little sister, on the other hand, never hesitates to show off her tummy:

That's her special "back to front" pose... But, let's face it, the real tummy guy around here has to be Tommy:

He does have an exceptionally silky tummy for such an outdoorsy woofie!

Although our main feature today is tummies, we do have some toe shots to share with you:

Manly Monday (with roses!)

Tom: Looking at the weather outside, I would almost be tempted to call it Miserable Monday instead, but #1 and I did manage to get out this morning before it started pouring, and I had an excellent run, with a lot of stick-fetching involved.

We will hark back to sunnier days with our first photo, an excellent example of how manly (or is it dashing in this case?) it is possible for a boy dog to look against a background of roses:

Actually, the weather was glorious all of last week, so I had every opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. We even went to some different locations!

#1 thinks this photo is funny. I am munching on a stick which, as you know, is one of my favourite things to do. #1 says I look like I am chewing on a big fat cigar!

Pretty manly, don't you think? More manly, perhaps, than being photographed with one of my cuddly toys?

But I love my cuddly toys almost as much as I love chewing on sticks!

And finally for today, we have a special photo for Clive's Little Man! Yes, #1 DID see the Eiffel Tower yesterday!
